Ladybird, nor butterfly,
Nor moth with dusty wing."

Boris was a good kid. He wasn't mean to anybody. But for whatever reason he thought it was fun to step on bugs. One summer afternoon he saw a group of ants by the garden and so he stepped on one. Little did he know that one little stomp would take him on a wild adventure he never expected.

Boris started to feel dizzy after stepping on the ant. His head started to spin and he thought he was going to faint. That feeling went away but Boris ended up in a very strange setting. Where was he? Why did everything around him look so big? Then he looked down and saw a giant caterpillar cruising by. The caterpillar was its normal size. It was Boris who had shrunk.

6
"Hello Boris. You're probably wondering where you are? And you may ask yourself, well...how did I get here?" "Where am I exactly?" Boris asked. "You are being punished for being mean to insects. You've been shrunk to the size of a bug. Once you've learned your lesson you will return to normal size." "Okay, I'm sorry about stepping on the ant. Now can I go?"
7

8
"It's not up to me. You'll have to go see Queen Bee?" "Beyoncé?" "No!" the caterpillar angrily answered. "The Queen of the Bees. She lives in a hive with the other bees in one of the trees in your backyard." "Way up there?" Boris was the size of a bug and he had a long way to go if he wanted to see the Queen. "How am I going to do that?" the boy wondered.

10
"You have a lot to learn" a voice called out. "And that's why I'm here to teach you." "You're a praying mantis!" Boris exclaimed. "You can call me Reverend Jim. I will be your guide and help you learn some important lessons." As he talked to the mantis, big water drops began falling on Boris' head. The pair ran to find a place to stay dry.

12
"Must be the sprinkler. Quick let's hide under this leaf" the Reverend said. While the pair waited for the sprinkler to stop, they were unaware that they were being watched by some other insects. And not just any insects, but ants. They were none too pleased to see Boris after he stepped on one of their friends. "Looks like they moved the sprinkler. Time to.....Uh oh!"
13

14
Jim and Boris were surrounded by a group of very angry ants. "Give us the boy!" one of the ants commanded. "My brothers please" Jim interjected. You have to learn to forgive. I'm trying to teach this young man a lesson. He feels terrible about what he did. Right Boris." "Oh yeah. I feel so small." "Alright Reverend, for your sake we'll spare the boy, but he is going to have to help us."
15

16
"At Fourteen Hundred Hours, John and Mary will be having a picnic. Before they eat they will get all lovey-dovey and stare into each other's eyes. That's our cue. Boris, I'll need you to work with the rest of the ants to grab some the food from the basket." "Where are the rest of the ants?" The head ant whistled and soon a big group of ants assembled around them.
17

18
"Forward, march!" the lead ant ordered. The ants lined up and took turns taking food out of the picnic basket. The ants were pretty strong as they were able to carry a loaf of bread, salami, and an apple. They headed to their anthill where more ants were waiting. The head of the ants shook my hand and told me all was forgiven. "Would you care to join us for a celebration?"

"Thanks but Boris still has more to learn" the Reverend said. The two continued on their way when Boris stopped to ask, "So, what exactly did I learn there? How to steal?" "No. You learned all about teamwork. That was too much work for just one ant and thanks to you, those ants will have more than enough food to keep them out of your Mom's kitchen."

22
"So how am I supposed to get all the way up that tree to see the Queen Bee? I can't fly." "No you can't but look around you Boris. Think!" A beautiful yellow, red, and orange butterfly briefly lingered by some flowers. Boris jumped up and held on to the butterfly as it flew away. "You're too heavy kid" the butterfly said as she was forced to let go of Boris.
