"In Mexico, wrestling is part of the cultural fabric. The guys wear masks and they are real-life superheroes." - Chris Jericho

Growing up in Mexico City, Nine year old Benito was a huge fan of Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestling). He loved the masks, the characters, and all of the high-flying action. When he grew up, he wanted to be the greatest Luchador ever. He would be a Técnico (good guy) and all of Mexico and the world would love him.

Benito watched Lucha Libre on TV every Saturday. Sometimes he would go with his Uncle Danilo to Arena México to watch it live. It much more fun to see it live and in person with hundreds of other fans. Benito would cheer for all of his favourites and boo the rudos (bad guys) he didn't like.

The most popular Luchador (fighter) in all of Mexico was Blue Tiger Junior. He was also Benito's absolute favourite. He had Blue Tiger Jr posters in his room, Blue Tiger Jr bedsheets, and even a Blue Tiger Jr replica mask. But he would never wear the mask as it was considered sacred to Blue Tiger Jr's family.

One night his Uncle Danilo said he had a surprised Benito after a recent Lucha Libre show. He was going to get to meet Blue Tiger Jr! Benito shook the entire time he was with his idol. "I am your biggest fan!" Benito proclaimed. The luchador handed Benito a gold and red mask and told him not to wear it until he was ready for the responsibility that came with it.

That night Benito was so excited the he couldn't fall asleep. He really wanted to put on the mask but remembered what Blue Tiger Jr had told him. Full of energy, Benito started practicing wrestling moves on his pillows with his tag team partner Alberto (his cat). That was until his parents told him that it was time to go to bed.

Blue Tiger Jr was the Lucha Libre Champion. He was the best wrestler in Mexico and according to Benito, the world. It was Saturday night so it was time for Benito to sit down with his Dad and watch some Lucha Libre action. Two strangers appeared on the TV and started saying terrible things about Mexico and Blue Tiger Jr. Their names were Eric and Donald Jr, "The Wall."

"Settle down son. It's all just part of the show" Benito's Dad said trying to comfort his boy. But he was really angry at the two rich gringos (non Latin Americans). Nobody talks about Blue Tiger Jr like that. Benito had to go see the next show to cheer on his hero. It would be two against one and Blue Tiger Jr needed all of the support he could get.

Benito was so nervous on the car ride to the arena. He didn't want his hero to lose, especially to these two creeps. Before Blue Tiger Jr was introduced, referee Miguel Sanchez sent Donald Jr to the back so he couldn't interfere. Excellent! Now it'd be a fair fight. Blue Tiger Jr's music started to play and the crowd went loco (crazy).
