Once there were two boys named Phineas and Ferb. They were the best of brothers and the best of friends. On hot, sticky summer days they liked to build inventions with their friends in their backyard.

One day, they decided to build a giant shuttlecock and a platypult, which is a catapult that looks like a platypus, in honor of adopting their pet platypus Perry five years ago from the OWCA Animal Shelter. They made it to play platypult badminton with Perry, but he mysteriously slipped away without them noticing.

Phineas and Ferb dejectedly realized that Perry was gone, but decided that they would take a trip in the shuttlecock to test it out, anyway. “Where in the world would that platypus have gone to?” wondered Phineas. Ferb mumbled, “I dunno." Ferb wasn't much of a talker.  As they were testing it, they accidentally crashed into the front of an expensive rocket car. “Look out!” Phineas yelled. They bounced off of the rocket car and flew high into the air, crashing into evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s skyscraper.

The shuttlecock smashed Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s invention, the Other-Dimensionator, into pieces! Dr. Doofenshmirtz was extremely ticked off and stood there in shock, as he looked at the wreckage. He thundered, “Look at what you’ve done!” You’ve ruined my new invention, the Other-Dimensionator! Now you must pay!”  Enraged, he pushed a red button and set his menacing robots on Phineas and Ferb, taking them captive. Dr. Doof thought to himself, “ I believe that these boys are the owners of that pesky platypus, Perry. If I kidnap them, I can lure him here!”

Little did the boys know, their pet platypus Perry went by the name Agent P; he was actually a secret agent! He worked to stop all evil in the world, especially Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his terrible schemes. Phineas yelled, “Why are you doing this?! We didn’t mean to break your machine, we're so sorry!” Dr. Doof says, “You have no idea who your pet platypus really is. I am going to ransom you for him!” Phineas and Ferb looked at each other, frightened and confused.

Meanwhile, Perry the platypus, or Agent P, was being briefed about the situation from his superiors. Major Monogram tells Agent P, “your success on this mission will save the world. We have evidence that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has an evil plan brewing. He also has two hostages in his tower. Their names are Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher.” Agent P was stunned! How could Dr. Doof have Phineas and Ferb?! He must have found out they were his family! Agent P knew that he had to save them. Agent P determinedly gathered his spy gear and set off for Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s evil tower.
