The young pup was scared and hungry when he was dumped off at another house. Even though the teenage girl told the pup's owner they couldn't keep him because they already had several dogs the man left the dog anyway. The girl picked the pup up and told him they would find him a good home. The pup licked the girls cheek and cuddled close to her.

After a few days the pup left for his new home. His new mom and dad told him all about their family. Mom said, You are going to love all your new brothers and they are going to be so surprised to meet you!”

The pup now had five human brothers, a pet rabbit and turtle, and another dog brother, Gizmo. His new brothers were so surprised and excited to see him. They had to decide on a name and after several choices decided on Charlie.

Charlie loved his new name. I think Charlie is the best name ever! he thought.

As he got older, Charlie sometimes got into mischief. One of his best tricks was to escape out the front door and run through the neighborhood. Or sometimes rummaging through the trash was just too hard to resist. On those times mom would yell, CHARLIE! You'r being a bad boy!”

Ïḿ sorry mom.”, Charlie would say and lower his head. Sometimes Charlie would worry if he got into trouble the family would get rid of him. But they always would love on him even when he was being naughty.

Charlie loved playing with his brothers. They would play tug of war, roll around with him, and threw the ball for him to fetch. His favorite sleeping spot was with Cameron. Charlie would curl up next to Cameron at night and Cameron would always say, Good night. I love you Charlie Boy.”

Whenever Charlie went into the backyard he would enjoy running around the yard. When he first came to his new home the yard wasn't fenced in and he had to stay on a long chain. But as he grew, he would be stronger than his chain break loose. Soon the backyard was fenced in and Charlie could run free and play with his brothers. They loved jumping on the trampoline with him. As they started to jump, Charlie would run and leap on the trampoline and bounce with the boys.

One day Charlie wasn't feeling well. Cameron asked, ¨Charlie whats wrong bud?¨

Charlie wouldn't get up and walk to Cameron because his back leg was hurting. Cameron and Dad started looking Charlie over and thought he had gotten stung by something. Poor Charlie wouldn't eat even when Mom got him a hamburger.

Dad had to help Charlie stand up and lay down. When mom called the vet they said if Charlie wasn't better the next day to bring him. Unfortunately, Charlie wasn't feeling better the next day so Dad carried him to the van and Mom and Cameron took him to the vet. The vet said Charlie did get stung by something and it was causing his back leg to be very swollen and sore. The vet gave Charlie some medicine and said for him to rest. Back home Charlie rested and got lots of extra love from his brothers. After a couple of days Charlie was his normal playful self and was up running around.
