Once there was a girl called Violet. She lived in Abergavenny with her mum, dad and two sisters Iris and Rose. One night she was reading a book called fairy tales and stories. "I love this book, she said to herself. "I wish I could go to fairyland!" After reading some of the stories she fell asleep, wondering if she would ever go there!

She awoke in the middle of the night and peered out of the window. Nothing, not even a ray of sunlight. She stared at the book, she wanted to read more. Violet lay back in bed and picked up the book. She got to a story she liked. "The girl in fairy tales" . She would've loved to be Amelia, the girl in the book. Suddenly, magic sparks started flying out of the book and she got sucked in! She saw magic all around her as she was spinning around to get in the book!

Soon she arrived inside fairyland! There were fairies fluttering around busily and unicorns flying in the sky. Also she could just about make out a big pink castle in the distance. Then out of the blue a bright white unicorn flew down and talked to Violet! He said "Hello! My name's Sparkle! We've been expecting you! Come ride on my back, I'll give you a tour!" Violet agreed and jumped on his back to go and see the rest of this magical land!

Soon she arrived at a forest. A big forest. A colourful forest. As she looked closer she saw all the trees where lollipops. "Wow, this is amazing!" She gasped. As she took a closer look she saw that between all the trees were jelly-bean plants. "How on earth do you get these to grow?!" Asked Violet. "It's pure magic!" Answered Sparkle, giggling. How fun this was going to be!

Next they arrived at the village. The houses were all different colours and sizes. Sparkle said "This is the candy village, it's where the candy fairies live. They make sweets and sell them in the neighbourhood. Their sweets are really good, would you like to try one?" "Yes please!" Replied Violet. Sparkle flew down to the village and wondered off to the nearest stall. "Hello, can I have two tongue twizzlers please, thank you!" He came back holding two sugary, red strips on his wing. "Here you go." He said "Try one." She got on his back and he flew off, she tasted one, 'These are the best!' She thought as Sparkle flew off into the distance.

Lastly they arrived at the big pink castle. It had royal flags at the top and doors as tall as Sparkle. "Wow, I can't wait to go inside!" Suddenly princess appeared at the door. "Hey, my name is Princess Lilly!" she said. "Are you Violet?" "Yes, that's me!" Replied Violet. "Good, want to go on one of the rides before you come in?" Violet looked to the side and saw a magical carousel. "I'd love to go on that!" "Good, come on then!" They ran over to the carousel and chose a place to sit. "I need to go now!" Said Sparkle. "I'll see you another time. And he flew off. Just then the ride started.

The magical music played as it rose into the sky.

It span around and around and in the end it landed on the ground gracefully. "That was so much fun!" Squealed Lilly. "Lets go inside now!" And they ran into the palace
