"CATS RULE THE WORLD." - JIM DAVIS

Oh how I envy my cat. James has the best life. All he does is eat and sleep. I wish I could spend my days relaxing like he does. How can anyone sleep so much? And why is so tired during the day?

It's just not fair I tell ya. I have to wake up early for school, eat breakfast, and brush my teeth. I'm usually half-asleep while James is snoring in his bed. Lucky boy. HONK! HONK! That's the school bus. Time to go!

By 11 o'clock at night, everyone in the house is sound asleep. Everything is so quiet and still. Well, except for my Dad's snoring. Boy he's loud! I kiss James on the forehead and wish him a "good night." But nighttime is when he's friskiest.

As the young boy sleeps, a sports car pulls up to the front of the house where James patiently waits. He gets into the car as it speeds away to a secret destination. Inside the house, not a soul is stirring as everyone is fast asleep.

The car pulls up a large building as the cat gets out. "Good luck James!" a voice calls out as the cat enters the building. He punches in a security code with his paw and takes the elevator to the seventh floor.

"Good evening James." "Well hello there Miss Gummybears. You're looking as lovely as ever." "Oh you're such a charmer, tee hee. Mr. M is waiting for you." "We'll continue this chat another time?" "James, get in my office now!" bellows Mr. M.

"Been working out boss? You look smashing!" "Not now James. I have an important mission for you. One of Queen Elizabeth's corgis has been dognapped and she's quite upset." "Oh dear. Lizzie must be having quite a tizzy."

James hopped into his car and drove away. His mission: Rescue the Queen's corgi and be home before anyone woke up back home. He was on his way to The Pussywillow Jazz Club located in the heart of the city.

THE PUSSYWILLOW JAZZ CLUB

It was a Friday night and the club was packed. James walked in and took a seat close to the stage. He was told by Mr. M that he would find somebody who could help him. But who? There were so many people there. How was he going to find him or her?

James sat at the bar and ordered a milk, 2% not stirred, when he heard the most beautiful voice in the world. It was the stunning female singer on stage, Ms. Kitten Kaboodle. James was so smitten that he didn't notice the large man behind him. BONK!
