"There's a man who leads a life of danger
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger
With every move he makes
Another chance he takes
Odds are he won't live to see tomorrow
Secret Agent Man
Secret Agent Man
They've given you a number and taken away your name"
"Secret Agent Man" - Johnny Rivers

"I have a tummy ache. I'm going to have to go home."
"Again?"

My name is Chris Steel. I'm just a regular fifth grader who likes to play sports and hang out with my friends. I'm also a secret agent for an international spy agency. It's a lot of fun as my job sends me all over the world on dangerous missions. As long as I'm home for dinner, my parents are okay with it. I set my iPhone on vibrate and sometimes it goes off during class. It just went off. Time to go!

I work for a man known only as M-16. His real name is classified meaning that nobody is supposed to find out. I usually get a little notice before embarking on my missions but this time the message said, "URGENT!" I faked a stomach ache and drove off to the location where I would be picked up by M-16. It was never the same spot as the agency was very careful about protecting their agents.

A private jet had landed in a field just outside of town. M-16 was waiting for me to board. He really seemed agitated. "Good day Steel." "So what's the emergency M-16?" "We'll discuss it more when we're up in the air. It's a matter of life and death." I'd never seen M-16 so worried before. He was usually a cool and calm character but he seemed so nervous and sweaty when he shook my hand.

"Why so glum boss?" I asked. "They took them from right under my nose. They took my little girls, my babies." "Oh no!" I cried out. "Steel, I need you to save them. You're the best agent I have and you were my first choice for this important assignment. Now suit up Agent Steel. Oh and by the way, do you know how to skydive?" "No, why?"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Without warning M-16 shoved me out of the plane. I fidgeted around with the knapsack that he gave me before the parachute finally opened. I had no idea where we were or where (or if) I was going to land. I braced myself for impact as I rolled around on the ground as I got caught up in my parachute. "Good landing Steel. I will be in contact soon" a voice said in my earpiece.

Wherever I was, it was bitter cold. Thankfully M-16 had packed some winter gear for me. I walked for about half an hour before I stumbled upon a tiny village. It was starting to get dark and I needed to find a place to sleep and stay warm. I went up to one of the houses and knocked on the door. "Hello?" "What does the fox say?" "What? Um, ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding, Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding, Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding?" Slowly the door opened.

The house was completely dark and nobody was around. "Hello? Anyone?" THUD! I was karate chopped from behind. When I woke up I was tied to a chair as a girl around my age was going through my things. "Who sent you?" she said in a strange accent which was a little hard to understand. Did she know about my mission and M-16? And even more importantly, I hope she puts my underwear back. It's my only backup pair.

Before I could question her there was a series of loud knocks at the door. "Oh no, it's the Ursa Majors!" "Who?" "The Gremlin's top security team. I must escape. I'm too cute to be captured." The girl pushed a button that made the wall spin around. She had escaped but what about me? Ursa Majors? The Gremlin? I struggled to free myself from the ropes only to get hit with another karate chop! Not again! "Ow!"

When I came to I found myself in the back of a truck surrounded by nasty looking bears. "Where are you taking me?" "You'll find out soon enough Comrade Steel" one of the bears uttered. He began to loosen the ropes as I was almost free. "Stay calm Agent Steel. We're taking you to meet The Gremlin. We're tracking your every move. We also have another agent on the inside waiting to help you."

The Ursa Majors hustled me out of the truck and into a large castle. It was time to meet The Gremlin that I had heard so much about.

"Zdravstvuj Comrade Steel. I've been expecting you."
