Cat and Dog live in the same neighborhood and have always been friends. One day, they realized they loved each other even though they were two different species.

In their society, Cats and Dogs usually do not get along. Most of the time, animals of the same species marry one another.

However, Cat and Dog fell in love anyway. Dog asked Cat to marry her. They got married.

And took their honeymoon at the local beach.

Sometimes, I feel lonely.

Cat and Dog built a great home, had great jobs, and were overall very happy. Although, something still felt like it was missing.

They looked around and saw their friends families grow with new children. Cat and Dog realized they wanted a baby, or a son and daughter, to call their own.

What is different about a marriage between a Cat and Dog is that cats and dogs do not have babies together. They wondered what they could do to have a child of their own that they could love and take care of.

What can we do to have a child of our own?

Cat and Dog knew there were so many animal children out there who had no homes or parents to call their own. They wondered if they could adopt one. They have created a warm, loving home and could provide a child with clothes, food, and a family.

I have an idea. We should adopt a child! We could help children who need homes.

Cat and Dog visited a local business that takes care of children and works with the community to help them find permanent homes and families to live with.

For the animal children that needed homes, it did not matter that Cat and Dog were two different species. All the children wanted was a family they could call their own because they never had one before. Cat and Dog met many children and loved them all.

How could we choose just one?
