"Today is my day to practice whimsy, skip on the beach, and play with the waves, watch wondrous cloud animals parade my story, find a magical white bunny down every rabbit hole.'
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie

Buckley the Bunny was supposed to be an Easter gift. But the family that bought him didn't know how to look after a bunny and the kids were too young to take care of him. One day they dropped poor Buckley off in the middle of the forest. He was lost, alone, and scared.

Buckley began to walk through the forest looking for somewhere to sleep when he heard a very scary sound. He had never been out in the wild and had no idea what it could be. Maybe it was a wild animal or even a monster? He was starting to become very frightened.

Frightened and confused, Buckley had nowhere to hide. "Psst, hey bunny, over here" a voice called out. Buckley looked around but didn't see anyone. And then from behind one of the trees emerged a big rabbit wearing a bright red T-shirt. "Follow me to safety." Desperate, Buckley followed close behind.

"Okay, let's go." "Down there?" Buckley asked. "Where else?" The pair disappeared down a dark hole that had been dug in a field just outside of the forest. The rabbit lead the way with a lantern. Buckley's heart started to thump as he had experienced so much excitement in such a short period of time.

After walking through the dark tunnel, the pair emerged from the rabbit hole. Buckley was in shock. "What is this place?" he asked. "Welcome to Bunny Ville Buckley. It's where all of the bunnies that get abandoned come to live. You're welcome to stay as long as you like."
STARSKY'S HUTCH

As the pair strolled through Bunny Ville, Buckley couldn't help but notice how many bunnies there were. "There sure are a lot of us here" he said to the Rabbit. "We're just happy we could give them all a real chance at happiness. A lot of people get bunnies as gifts for Easter or because they think we're cute but we're a lot of work."

When they entered the nightclub, Buckley saw bunnies everywhere dancing and eating carrots. This party sure looked like a lot of fun. "What is this place?" Buckley shouted over the loud music. "This is the #1 dance club in Bunny Ville. There's someone I want you to meet." "Is that........The Easter Bunny?" "Trix you old rascal, so nice to see you again. And this must be Buckley."

"Welcome Buckley. Our village is one big family of jolly bunnies. It's my duty to make sure that they are all taken care of. Animals should never be given as presents. We're living creatures who need love and shelter. We're not toys....oh, and please don't gnaw on the waitress." "Sorry."
