Dedicated to my nephews and my English teacher
I'd like to thank my nephews in helping me choose the characters and reading it to me. I'd also like to thank my English/creative writing teacher Mrs. Jensen for making this assignment and helping me create my first book.

Witches weren’t liked in this village. They were looked down on by the villagers.
“Never touch, talk, or look at a witch! They will turn you into animals” The older villagers warned the kids.
But one day, the last witch came into the village looking for friends. All the villagers hid inside their houses. All the shops were closed.

Never touch, talk, or look at a witch! They will turn you into animals

The witch walked all the roads of the village.
The witch felt very sad.
She looked inside of the windows, but they were slammed in her face.
She ran back to her home in the forest and cried.

“I wish I had friends! Why don’t the villagers like me?” the witch cried all the way until the next morning.
She started to get mad.
“I can make my own friends!” She said.

All morning she went out to collect animals.
She had a duck, a horse, and three birds. She tapped each animal on the head with her shiny magic wand.

The horse talked like a human, it said “Good day lady! You are just so wonderful!”
The duck grew human legs and started to run around the witch's house.
The first bird grew a big nose and could not stop sneezing. “A-CHEW.. A-CHEW”.
The second bird grew ears and tried to cover them with it’s wings.
The last bird grew long hair on its head and whipped it around.

Good day lady! You are just so wonderful!
A CHEW
The witch was scared! She wanted to turn them back but she did not have enough magic in her wand.
Her new animal friends followed her as she walked towards the village to find some help.

“I need help!” The witch cried. “Someone help me with these animals!” All the villagers ignored her cries, but a little boy came over and started to play with the horse.
“He can talk!” The boy yelled. “Was he human before?”

Help! Someone help me with these animals!

He can talk! Was he human before?
