Dedicated to bad memory of an other story book project I did in eighth grade.

Once upon a time, there was a dragon that lived in the mountains, near a small village.
Every now and then, the village's military would go off to fight evil monsters tat often attacked the village's people.
The dragon would watch in amazement as the military claimed many victories. He took note of their armor, their strategies, and the kinds of enemies they fought.
The dragon longed to fight along side the military, but never had the courage to go near the village.
He believed the only way to become one of the soldiers was to be a human. One day, he had an idea to find a dragon charmer-- someone who is able to manipulate dragons with magic. He thought that maybe a charmer could turn him into a human.

He wandered around the mountains, until he found a summit. There, he found a charmer named Persefina.

"Could you help me?" he said, hopeful.
"What's wrong?" Persefina asked.
"I want to become a soldier, but I need to be a human." he explained.

"Why do you have to be a human to become a soldier?" she asked him.
"I can't wield a sword with claws!" he said.
"I see..." she said, thoughtfully.
"I'll turn you into a human, then."
"Thank you!" the dragon exclaimed.
"On one condition: you're human form will only last for three days." she said.
"What?!" he yelled.
"I'm making it temporary because you fail to see the potential you have, the way you are." she told him.
The dragon agreed to Persefina's deal, then she pulled her cloak around him and shook her staff. Suddenly, smoke emitted from the dragon as hands and feet peaked from underneath the cloak. A human boy stood slowly from the ground.

The former dragon was now able to become a soldier. He immediately thanked Persefina and ran off to the village, where he was warmly welcomed. He joined the military and went to his very first meeting that night. They planned to ambush the Goblin King-- the one who'd been sending monsters to attack the village.
They discussed strategies, weapons, and armor, which they began practicing with the next day. The dragon boy learned to fight within the next two days. He had so much fun!
