Η ιστορία "Flying City" δημιουργήθηκε στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος "Ένα σακί με ιστορίες" στο μάθημα των Αγγλικών, από τους μαθητές και τις μαθήτριες του τμήματος Ε2 του 18ου Δημοτικού Σχολείου Καλαμαριάς.

In a faraway land there is a strange, different but fantastic city. The name of it? “FLYING CITY“.

Have you heard anything about this city?

Of course not, because it is built on an enormous cloud and everything on it are colourful clouds.

In the “Flying City” the houses are big and tall. They are built with colourful clouds and their windows have strange shapes like oval, circle and rectangle. In their gardens, people plant fruit trees, vegetables and flowers.

The people of this city are very special. They have wings on their shoes which give them supernatural power so they can hop from place to place.

Flying City is protected by five green dragons:

Nick, Mick, Tick, Lick, Rick and . . . . . . .

..... a purple one. The name of it? Fireball.

Fireball is the strongest of all.

The people eat cloud foods; cloud sandwiches with cloud cheese, cloud sausage, cloud sweets and cloud ice-cream with angel’s wings.  They don’t forget to eat healthy cloud apples and grapes.              

They pay for all these with mini cloud money.

... and they wear cloud clothes, trousers,

t-shirts, dresses and shorts and the most  interesting are their shoes with the wings.

Look at these shoes. They are for special occasions. 

This is the school of Flying City for the children. A cloud school with swings, see-saws and a green playground.

Every day the pupils take the cloud bus which is driven by Nick or Mick and go to school, where they learn cloud reading and writing, cloud maths and cloud geography.

Tick and Lick teach them reading and writing, Rick teaches them geography while Fireball teaches them maths.
