"For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I like to think that I'm a pretty good dude. But lately I've been losing my temper a lot. I say and do stupid things and end up making my sister cry. It's embarrassing when I lose my cool but for some reason, I can't control my temper.

I never hit anyone when I get angry. But I will break stuff or throw things at the wall. I don't know where all of this anger is coming from. It's as though I'm a completely different person when I lose my temper. And I don't like him.

Soon I was being sent to my room on a regular basis for having so many temper tantrums. Even at school I was being sent to detention daily for my angry outbursts. What was going on with me? I used to be such a good kid. I still am, I think.

"Good morning Dad. Have a good day at work." "Where do you think you're going?" "To school?" "Didn't you hear all that noise last night. We're not sure if it was an earthquake or what but parts of the city were destroyed. School's cancelled and I don't have to go to the office today."

"THIS IS BNN BREAKING NEWS: We go now to our reporter on the scene, Laila Jacqueline." "Thanks Benny. I am here with the Chief of Police. Chief, what happened last night?" "We're really not sure what or who caused all this damage. It could've been an earthquake or a lightning storm. We've also received some crank calls about a giant lizard."

Curious about the destruction that happened last night, I took my bike out to do some exploring. About half way into my journey, the chain fell off my bike. To make matters worse, I was caught in a heavy downpour. As I struggled to get the chain back on my bike, my hand got caught pinching my fingers. "Stupid bike!" I yelled as threw the bike to the ground.

I don't really remember what happened next. It was all a blur to me. During my episodes I tended to lose all control of my mind and body. I got drenched as I walked my busted up bike back home. "Claude, where have you been?" "The chain slipped off my bike." "Did you see it?" "See what?" "The monster. He struck again." "No."

BNN BREAKING NEWS: MONSTER GOES ON RAMPAGE!

As I watched the footage of the monster attacking the city, I felt a tinge of Déjà vu . You know that feeling you get when something seems so familiar even though you're seeing it for the first time. And how the heck did I not see a giant monster destroying buildings?

I knew I had anger problems but I refused to talk to anyone about them. The past two weeks were particularly stressful. I would lose my temper over the silliest things. All the while there was apparently a monster on the loose. Yet anytime he attacked, I never saw or heard a thing. I spent a lot of the day walking around and sighing.
