"People who count their chickens before they are hatched act very wisely, because chickens run about so absurdly that it is impossible to count them accurately."
— Oscar Wilde

When Henny was born, all of the animals at Farmer Bruno's farm came to see the precious baby chick. From the day she hatched, they all knew that she was going to be something special.

Henny's Mom knew that her daughter was going to be quite the handful. As much as she tried to keep a watchful eye on her baby girl, she would often lose sight of the plucky chick. Henny was very curious about the world outside of her coop and wanted to explore all of it.

The sassy little chick ended up getting into all sorts of mischief. But all she wanted to do was to help out around the farm. Henny wasn't like the rest of the chicks as she liked to spend time with the cows, pigs, and sheep. Sometimes Farmer Bruno wondered if Henny even knew that she was a chick.

Life was good for Henny who loved everyone in her unique little family. Over the next few months Henny grew and grew. She was no longer a fuzzy chick. She was a chicken now but still as curious and optimistic as a newborn chick.

MUSEUM

What Henny didn't realize was that outside of her loving home the world was filled with some not so nice people. In broad daylight, a pair of diamond thieves stole a rare diamond from a nearby museum. They hopped into their truck and were able to escape from the police.

SCREECH!!!!
Farmer Bruno lived about 20 minutes out of town. On Saturdays, he and his wife would drive to the market to sell apples from their orchard. As they headed to the market, a big green truck went zipping passed them. "Slow down!" Farmer Bruno shouted out the window.

"This farmhouse is the perfect place to hide out" one of the thieves said. "Yeah, the fuzz would never think to look for us here. Let's bring this baby inside but be careful. It's worth millions." Little did the diamond thieves know that they were being watched by one keen little clucker named Henny.

As the two men hid in the barn with their diamond, in the distance they could hear police sirens. "Hide! They'll never think to look for us in this haystack." A police car pulled up to the farm as the officers began to search in vain for the diamond thieves.
