The Teddy Bear Factory was a happy, magical place where elves built stuffed bears for children to love and cherish. The elves would deliver the bears to toy stores around the world bringing joy to all the boys and girls.

The elves had so much as they created their wonderful bears with handfuls of magical dust.  They would dance and sing and play until the bears were ready. The bears were always so soft, cute, and cuddly. Even though they can be a little silly at times, the elves put a lot of care into their craft. But every once and a while a mistake is made with one of the bears.

As the elves prepared to bring their latest batch of bears to the toy stores, one of them noticed that there was something wrong. "Oh dear! Look at this poor bear. He hasn't got a mouth. How will smile, laugh, or sing?" "It's too late now. Toss him in with the other bears."

MR. HAPPY TEDDY BEARS HAVE ARRIVED!!!!

"Great work as always by your elves" the toy store manager said. "Perfect as always...wait a minute. What's wrong with the one on the end?" "He was a mistake. I hope you can find him a home." "I'll try but I don't think anyone will want a misfit bear."

While the other Teddy Bears flew off the shelves into the arms of excited boys and girls, the misfit bear was still there. Pretty soon a new shipment of bears would be delivered by the elves and they would likely sell out just as quickly. The toy store manager didn't have a good feeling about the misfit bear. Nobody seemed to want a bear with no smile.

No matter what he did, the toy store manager was unable to find a home for the misfit bear. He reduced the price and even thought about giving the bear away for free but nobody wanted him. A little girl paused with her father to look at the bear but decided to pass on taking him home because he looked sad. And so the misfit bear remained all alone on the shelf.
