Hey KuJO. I'm trying to learn about Augmented Reality. You know anything?

Augmented reality is integrating digital information into the real time environment. Making things come to life in the present. It's pretty cool!

Hi Marissa, Kujo said you could help us figure out what all you can do with Augmented Reality.

I wish that squirrel was in Augmented Reality.

Augmented Reality or "AR" can be used in many different ways. Remember the yellow lines that show up on tv during football games to mark the lines? That's AR. Have you ever used an app to color a picture, then used your ipad to make the pictures pop up into real life? That's AR too. And the infamous Pokemon go, uses AR to put creatures up on your screen in front of you to capture.

Augmented Reality can be used in school and during educational lessons as well. Think about learning about organs in the body in science. What if you could better meet the needs of your students by providing virtual realistic 3D and 4D Images for them to explore the elements of organs. Augmented Reality can do all that!

Ms. Marissa is my teacher, and she uses AR in our classrooms to help us understand lots of things, like Math, and Science, and even helps make coloring more fun! My favorite thing to do is use the ipad after I color a picture, and the picture pops up on my screen and moves around!

Hi I'm Dr. Mike. We use AR at the hospital for taking blood!

In hospitals, a new AR technology is being used to find veins for phlebotomists every day. It uses an infrared beam, and translates the heat from the blood into a visual representation, which allows phlebotomists to get more accurate needle placement for blood draws. This can cut down time, and decrease multiple sticks on hard to find veins.
