Once upon a time in the Kingdom of the Danes. There lived a wretched monster; spawned from the sickly, sticky, slime of Cain. The gross gray monster crawled out of his lair, and terrorized everywhere, except the blessed King's chair.
And from the shiny silvery mead halls of He0rot. King Hrothgar's men were being eaten. When the ghastly Grendel came to the halls to tear it. The great warriors found that the menacing monster could not be beaten.
But all hope for Hrothgar's Kingdom was not lost; for a hero would come and slay the beast at any cost. He swiftly sailed across the seas, to the snowy kingdom whose people were in need.
The brave, burly, boastful, battler was Beowulf, Prince of the Geats. A brave and noble warrior who had accomplished many great deeds. And with him were many soldiers ready to fight, they would slay the wicked wretched creature and take back the night.
Then Beowulf arrived at the Silvery halls of He0rot, and began to boast, for all who could hear it. "I shall slay this foul fiend" Beowulf Exclaimed, " Just like I once drove ginormous giants into chains."
Hrothgar listened and so did his men. For they needed who make there nightmares end. " I promise you a ship full of golden riches", Hrothgar had said, " But only when you, giant slayer, make sure Grendel is dead. So in Heorot Beowulf waited for Grendel to crawl from his dark lair. "I will fight him bare handed," he said. " Only then will the fight be fair."
The harry, horror, came in and gave a horrible hiss, Beowulf's deadly warriors could not harm him because he had made their weapons bewitched.
As Grendel stood fierce and caused the soldiers harm, Beowulf leaped forward and yanked off his arm. The creature let out a horrible cry, and then crawled back to his lair, where he would surely soon die.
So then the beast battler hung the monster's arm from the rafters. Red blood dripping from the fleshy arm induced many a chatter.
The drink hall stood proud and happy that day. The soldiers would drink , do dances, dine and play.
Beowulf was happy, his mission was complete. He sailed through the whale road back to the Kingdom of the Geats.
