As the weather grew colder, the bears started to prepare for their long slumber. They would be nestled in their beds for a few months. And when they finally rolled out of bed, they would be greeted by a beautiful Spring morning.

Bears of all shapes and sizes were getting ready to hibernate in their caves. This big guy was going to have one last cup of hot chocolate before he went to sleep. Such a relaxing time to be a bear.

"Don't forget to set the alarm clock for 8 o'clock a.m..........2018" Bobo reminded his older brother. "Will do. Have a good sleep and I'll see you next year" Bobby joked. After some tossing and turning, both brothers fell into a deep sleep.

As the bears slept all cozy in their beds, a couple of snowmen came out to enjoy the cold. "Hello there Mr. Frosty. I love your new hat." "The kids really outdid themselves this year didn't they? Do you hear something?" "Yeah, it's like a rumbling sound. Can't be thunder. It's winter!"

"Alright boys, start bringing in the heavy machinery. We've only got a few months to knock this forest down and start construction on the new condominiums." "Oh no! They're going to wipe out the whole forest. What's going to happen to all the animals?" Mr. Frosty wondered out loud.

Soon a group of bulldozers, steamrollers, and dump trucks converged upon the forest. In just a few short minutes, the beautiful forest had been destroyed. Tomorrow they would start building condominiums as the bears slept through all the commotion.

"We're almost done building your condos Mr. Lightning. Don't you think we should have left a little bit of forest for the animals?" "Don't tell me you're one of those wimpy nature lovers. I didn't become a billionaire by worrying about chipmunks and squirrels."

A once beautiful forest filled with trees, streams, and wildlife had been turned into a massive condominium complex. The bears were in for quite a shock when they woke up from their hibernation.

It was 8 o'clock in the morning and all the bears were waking up to enjoy the sweet Spring air. "Good morning little brother. Did you sleep well?" "Like a baby although you snored pretty loud. Felt like our cave was shaking all winter long." "Let's go catch some breakfast from the river!" Bobby exclaimed.

"Where did our forest go?" Bobo asked. "It's gone and has been replaced by these buildings." "But why?" "I don't know but I'm afraid what's going to happen when Big Daddy Bruno wakes up. You know how cranky he is when he first wakes up."
