One bright spring day, Meghan and Caelainn got tired of playing board games and decided to take a walk. They started out down their usual path exploring the woods around them. They saw all the normal things: pine trees, squirrels, birds, and rabbits.

Then they came to a fork in the path and they decided to go to the left, a way they have never gone before. So off they went, continuing on their adventure.

Soon they came around a bend in the path and a butterfly flew out to greet them. They waved at the butterfly and continued on their way but the butterfly followed them, dancing in the air in front of them and flying in circles around them. This continued for a few minutes and the girls decided that perhaps the butterfly wanted them to follow it!

The butterfly continued down the path but then suddenly flew into the woods.  Meghan and Caelainn did not want to go off the path into the woods since they had never walked off the path by themselves before. They turned around and started to head home but the butterfly came out of the woods and started flying around them again!  So this time, Meghan and Caelainn decided to take a closer look at the spot where the butterfly had flown into the woods.  To their surprise there was a hidden path so they decided to follow it.

As they walked down the hidden path they noticed more and more butterflies but the butterflies did not seem happy and they were all white. A few minutes later, they came into an opening- it was a hidden flower garden! But it was the strangest flower garden the girls had ever seen... none of the flowers had any color- they were all white too! No wonder the butterflies were sad!!!
