Chapter 1- The Idea
As a child, Charista lived on a farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed splashing through the creek, climbing their tree, and helping with the animals. Out of all their animals Tasha, an interesting stray cat, became her favorite. Midnight black fur covered Tasha except for a streak of white on her face and splotches of white on each of her paws. Tasha followed Charista everywhere. Even as a child, Charista had a talent and love for crafts. Everything she crafted brimmed with creativity and beauty. Charista always had something creative to do or make in mind.
On her twelfth birthday, while Charista retrieved the mail, she spotted an art gallery advertisement. This sparked an idea in her mind. What if she had an art gallery of her own? Then, people could come and see her art. Better yet, she could have a place where people could make art. A smile spread across her face as she realized that she now had the perfect idea.
Chapter 2- Charista's Carreer
After graduating High School, Charista applied for a job as a vet tech at a clinic called “ Rachel’s Friendship Pet Clinic”. Her parents let her keep Tasha. Every day she brought Tasha to work and everyone admired her beautiful cat. She worked there until she graduated college and rented an apartment. After that, she quit and took a job delivering mail. She still longed to have a creation gallery. Seeing all the different styles of homes that she delivered to, She considered the fact that she would soon be able to purchase a house. When she returned to her apartment, she checked her bank account and found that she had 34,000 towards a house.
Her friend from school, Ann, offered her a country house for that amount. She payed for the house and moved in. Suddenly, an idea filled her mind. The house garage was just right for a create and see art gallery. At once, she began to set up and plan out her creation Gallery. She split the garage in two. One side for people to see her art and the other for people to make art. She called over her friend Ann and together they came up with these prices.

Chapter 3- The Opening
On the day of the opening, people swarmed the garage. A lady exclaimed “Young lady! I love your painting of the wild herd of horses galloping through the snow. My daughter would love it in her room. Can I buy it for $100?”
Charista gasped. $100 for her painting?! She knew it would help upgrading the gallery but $100 seemed like a lot of money. “ l honestly don’t think that you should have to pay $100..”
The lady interrupted her “I have been looking for a picture for her for months!! Also I know that you are raising money for upgrading the gallery.
So you can call part of the money a donation.” Charista smiled, and agreed to sell the painting. Everywhere Charista looked, children and adults were enjoying their time at the gallery. After closing up the garage, Charista invited Ann over to her house for tea. As they sipped their tea Charista discussed the first day with Ann. Charista realized that she would need to hire a few people so, she offered Ann a job as manager and she enthusiastically agreed. A few more people were hired to help. After a month, Charista had enough money to upgrade the gallery and add a third section. The third section became a class area. People could take classes on art techniques there. Her gallery was finally becoming complete.
Chapter 4- Twentieth Birthday
As Charista’s twentieth birthday approached she thought it might be time to get a separate house near her gallery. She didn’t have the budget for it though, so she decided to wait a little longer. After announcing the gallery closed on her birthday, Charista walked into her house. She opened the door and stepped in. Everything was dark. Why are all the lights off? She wondered. Before she could do anything the lights suddenly turned on and her family shouted “Surprise!!! Happy birthday Charista!” Totally and completely shocked, she stood there with her mouth hanging open until Ann came up to her and playfully punched her on the arm.
