It was October 30th, and Emily Cramer was excited. ''This year, I get to go trick-or-treating with the big kids!'' she screamed in excitement. Every year, Emily had to trick-or-treat with the toddlers, since she was 5. She has a sister named Lila. She was 9, and always went with the ''children under teens'' group. October 31st was Emily's birthday. This year, she got to go with the ''children under teens'' group! All Emily could do that night, was think about what exciting adventures they would go on. Would they go to CareBear Street? Happy Grand Avenue? Either way, she was excited.

When Emma was walking to school, she noticed police officers. They were very active at this time of year, just watching out for Halloween pranks. There was a girl that seemed guilty. But when Emma walked passed them, she made sure she was on her best behavior. ''Fine day for a walk, ain't sir?'' Emma began. ''Why not.'' the police officer said. Emma nodded and walked on. ''She seemed guilty, right officer.'' said a sweaty girl with handcuffs. He shook his head. ''Just an average kid. But you are a criminal.'' the officer said laughing. The criminal, Sallie stuck out her tongue. She sighed and sneered.

It was then 5:58, October 31st., and Emma, Lila, and her friends were ready to set out for Halloween. Emma got to wear her moms make up for her costume. ''I am a sor- sor-'' Emma began. ''You are a sousrouss, Emma'' Lila said. Her mother laughed. She went to a closet, and pulled out a camera. ''Remember to take photos, my dear!'' Emma nodded. ''She meant me, Emma.'' Lila began Emma nodded in agreement. ''So, what houses to we hit first, Lila?'' Lila shrugged. She looked at her friends. ''Well, we usually hit Spook Street first.'' Emma laughed. ''You mean CAREBEAR Street.'' Lila and her friends shook their heads. They explained that is just wheer the little kids go.
