Hi my name is Allen. I travel across the world every year to new places to learn about how people live and what they believe in. Over the years that I have been traveling I have learned many different religions. Turns out a lot of people are different in this world. There are religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and so much more.

My first trip to Jerusalem. When I went to Jerusalem I met many people in that area. I spoke to many different Christians and asked them about Christianity. These people were very friendly to me and they showed me everything and even taught me how they pray. Along the way I made a friend, his name was "Chris". Chris is an amazing friend now, we always talk to each other everyday.
Chapter 1: Christianity

In Jerusalem, Chris told me that Christians only believe in one God and that his son, Jesus was half God and half Human which sounded really cool. He told me "Jesus came to the earth the spread the word of God which is why we love Jesus so much". Chris also told me that Christians pray in a church which has a symbol of a cross on it to show that Jesus died for them.

When we walked inside a priest was showing me around. He showed me the bible which is the book that Christians read during their holy celebrations on Sunday's. Chris told me that the bible was written by many different people and that it has 46 books in the old testament and 27 in the new testament. The old testament was written before Jesus was born and the new testament was written after Jesus was born.

Chris told me that people pray in a church which is God's house. He also told me that because Jesus was the son of God, he had to die to save his people and open the gates of heaven. That's why people worship Jesus he is the one who open the gates of heaven and also forgave peoples sins. That's why Christians ask for forgiveness when they do something wrong because they want to go into Heaven to life with God after they die.
I asked Chris what is the most holy day for Christians in the world. He told me "Good Friday is the day that changed the world, it showed that the lord was willing to do anything for us. He died for us to save our sins and for that we go to church to remember what he did for us". So it seems Christianity is a religion that many people believe in.
After Jerusalem I decided to learn Islam and went to Saudi Arabia in Mecca to learn about how Islam became a religion. While in Mecca I spoke to many different people and I met a amazing girl named Salem. Salem was an amazing person, she showed me all around Saudi Arabia explaining everything to me.
Chapter 2: Islam
Salem told me "In Islam we believe in Allah which is the Arabic word for God. He is the only God that exists". Ishtar also told me that they have sacred literature also like Christianity but only this one is much smaller and was written word for word. She said that the prophet Muhammad wrote the Quran which are words from Allah.

Muhammad was a prophet who an angel came to him in a cave. Angel Gabriel, he told Muhammad that he should follow what God told him and to spread the word of Allah. So Muhammad started to spread what Allah told him and then people started to follow him and he became and idol to people because of what he did for them. However in Islam there are no pictures Allah because no one knows how he looks likes.
Now Islam prays differently. They pray in a mosk. A mosk is the holy place for Muslims where they must go to and pray. However, they always have to face East because they need to face the city Mecca since it is the holiest city in Islam history and every Muslim must visit it once in their life time to feel truly holy.
So then I started to wonder what is the most holiest celebration in Islam. "Ishtar, what is the most holiest celebration in Islam?" Ishtar said "It would be Ramadan. Ramadan is 9th month in the lunar calendar where every muslim must fast during the hours of daylight, we must not eat or drink anything during these hours". This was very surprising because I am not sure if I can not eat for that many hours.
Chapter 3:
Judaism
I took a trip to Israel and decided to go to a synagogue and ask some people around there about Judaism where I met Henry. Henry is a volunteer at the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem, Israel.
Henry taught me a lot of stuff about Judaism, he told me "Christianity is the closest religion to Judaism and that is because we have the same old testament as the Christians do in the bible".
This means that Jews do not believe in Jesus although Jesus was Jewish.

Judaism begins its history with Abraham, where him and Sarah left Ur (modern day Iraq) and sojourned to the promised land of Canaan (modern day Israel). Another person who is important in Judaism is Moses. Moses lead people from Egypt into the promised land that God wanted to give his people so God called Moses and told him what he had to do and that God would be with him.

A Jew would go to a synagogue to pray and worship God.
I asked Henry what is the holiest day that they celebrate. "My friend it is passover". I said "What is passover?" "Passover is the day that the Israelites were free from Egypt. It is the day that Moses free God's people and led them to the promise land of Israel. On this day we all gather around in the synagogue and pray and then we all share our blessings with other people.
Chapter 4: Hinduism
After learning these three religions I decided to head to India to learn about Hinduism. When I arrived in India I had no one to teach me about it until I met Raj at a temple called Jagannath Temple in Puri India. Raj took me around the temple, and while we were there Raj had told me that Hindu's believe in many different Gods and that each one has their own purpose and story of what they have done.
