On a warm and bright spring filled day, a mommy sea turtle came onto the shore of the beach, in search for a perfect nest to lay her eggs.

At last she found the perfect spot to lay her eggs, bordered by rocks for protection. So the mommy sea turtle began to dig up the nesting spot for her offspring.

She layed one hundred and ten baby sea turtle eggs! Then she whispered and told them their names. One by one she named them, “Jimmy, Ben, Lenny, Dani” and so on, until she saw one with many spots.

She whispered to him, “You are special, I will name you Hendrix, and when you all hatch, you will lead your brothers and sisters home. Remember to follow the Moon, and let the Moonlight guide you home.”

And so the mommy sea turtle went back to the sea and waited for her babies to return home.

Fifty days later, on a cozy summer night the baby sea turtles began to hatch. Hendrix was the first to hatch and he waited for the rest of his brothers and sisters. “Come on guys, come on wake up. Wake up sleepy heads,” said Hendrix. “Let's go home.”

“Hendrix,” asked his sister Dani,”Do you know the way home?” Hendrix thought for a moment, “Of course, we follow the Moon.”

They all looked at each other and up at the sky, “Which one is the Moon?” Asked Ben. Hendrix then said, “Umm, that one, with the blinking light, follow me.”

And off they went, all one hundred and ten baby sea turtles. But the Moon was going to fast then disappeared. "Oh no, where did the Moon go?"All the baby sea turtles said in shock.

“Do not worry, I will ask for directions,” said Hendrix. “Excuse me, where’s the Moon?” He asked a rock. “Uh sir, can you point to the Moon?” But the rock did not answer.

“He must be sleeping,” said Lenny. “Let's go ask someone else.” And off they went, until they spotted a soda can.

"Hi Mister, can you point to the Moon? We are trying to get home." Asked Hendrix. But the can did not answer.
