Fairytale starts on page 14

There is an old windy road, It’s pavement is worn and the grass is starting to seep through the cracks. The air is muggy and humid, looking down the road fog starts to consume everything in its path. Next to this road you can barely make out an old rusty mailbox that reads the Davidson’s.
Continuing down this old creepy path is Jessica Rambles a Journalist who follows missing person reports and supernatural findings. Allegedly this road leads to an old abandoned house that belonged to a missing family. The family has been missing for 3 years and no one has been able to find them and most have stopped looking, except for Jessica Rambles.
Lightning strikes in the distance, and a weary feeling comes upon Jessica, as she looks ahead and see’s a gate that is blocking the entrance to the abandoned house. Jessica climbs out of her truck, her long brunette locks flow down her back, her skin is pale and her eyes are ice blue. She’s wearing a old forest green army jacket, with ripped blue jeans and some torn black combat boots.
Before closing her truck door, she swiftly grabs her video camera before approaching the large black and rusted gate. She closely examines the gate and eagerly searches for a way to get through the gate. There seemed to be no way to get over or around the gate this created a Imbroglio. But Jessica being as dauntless as she is found a small gap underneath the gate, and shimmy her way underneath the gate and out onto the other-side.
In awe she looks at the ginormus house that stood before her. You could tell that this magnificent house was built from the ground up from the original owners of the house, examining the exterior of the house you can assume that it was built in the 70’s. The old once well painted side panels were now dull as the paint has worn off over the years, it windows are filled with dust and you can barely make out the inside of the house.
The porch has missing boards as it seems that the wood panels are decaying. Jessica timidly make her way to the front of the house where she stop right in front of the porch, a loud gulp can be heard from young Jessica and she is uneasy at what lies ahead of her.
Jessica takes out her video camera and hits record, she keeps her voice down and states “This is Jessica Rambles here at the house of the family who has been missing for three years from unknown causes, I’m currently in front of the house about to make my way inside.” She breathes deeply and exhales before taking a small step up the raggedy stairs, taking her time at each step since the wood is decaying in some parts of the porch. Once she has reached the top she slowly steps over the gaps of wood that has decomposed away.
Reaching the front door she slowly moves her hand towards the door knob, of course knowing her luck the door won’t open. She tries her hand at the door, wiggling the knob a few times, she says in a muffled voice “Of course it’s locked.”As much as I am circumspect I knew the only other way to get the door open was if I kicked the knob a few times until it came off.
Backing my way up, I slam my combat boot next to the door knob, but it didn’t budge, backing up again I slam my foot with all much force against the door and with my luck the door broke and swung open just like that. Staying circumspect I carefully walk into the house, taking a deep breathe the first scent to hit my nostrils was a dreadful smell, it reminded me of what a decaying body smell like, like a mouse or some rodent you would find on the side of the road.
I pull a small flashlight from inside of my back pocket and turn it on, from what I can see is a long hallway the walls are painted with an off white and their are old painting of what I can assume is the family. Cautiously making my way down the hallway, one footstep at a time I come to the end of the hallway and it turns to the right, before stepping out and continuing down, I first take a peak.
Looking around the corner I can see the empty kitchen, though it wasn’t so empty, stepping out from the corner I make my way into the kitchen where there seems to be molded food, though it doesn’t look or smell like food. It was a dark brown substance it almost looked like a animals intestines, but I couldn’t be so sure.
I made my way to the counter where there was a old newspaper it read “Normal, Quiet family has gone missing and can’t be found.” Jessica gasped taking a closer look “Could this be the family that lived in the house and why would this newspaper be in here?! Unless the family isn’t really missing?”
Continuing to closely examine the newspaper, reading article below the picture of the family, a loud crash sounds in the other room and then the noise of static from a tv thats not connected to cable. Jessica jumps as she is alarmed that she may not be the only one alone in this house.
Vigilantly Jessica moves to the next hallway by the room where the static was coming from, her heart is pounding out of her chest, her anxiety is high, her hands are becoming clammy, she quickly peaks around the corner and her eyes catches a quick glance of a tall black figure standing by the tv, the static getting louder and louder.
