Not very long ago, there was a little girl named
Sarah. Sarah loved to read, climb trees, swing
on the swing set, and play hide and seek.

When summer time came and Sarah no longer
had to go to school, she was excited to go
home and do all of her favorite things!

The first day of summer, Sarah read one of her
favorite books. When she was done reading
her book, she went outside to climb the tree in
her front yard and swing on the sing set.

Sarah was tired after all of the fun she had
that day. That night, she dreamed of the fun
the rest of the summer had in store for her.

The next day, Sarah woke up early to have
some more fun. She read another book,
climbed the tree in her yard, and played on her
swing set. At the end of the day, she wasn't
nearly as excited about the rest of the summer
as she was the day before.

The next day, Sarah read another book. She
started to go outside to climb the tree, but she
was already tired of climbing that tree. She
went to swing on the swing set, but that
sounded boring to her.

Sarah went back inside and plopped on the
couch. She suddenly dreaded the rest of the
summer. What in the world was she going to
do for 3 whole months?

Suddenly, Sarah had a great idea! "Mom?"
Sarah asked, "Can I get a kitty so I can have
someone to play with this summer?"

Sarah's mom agreed to let her get a kitty as
long as she took good care of it. They went to
the animal shelter and she picked out a kitty to
take home. She named the kitty "Fluffy".

Fluffy and Sarah became best friends. They
did everything together! They climbed trees
together, played on the swing set together,
and played hide and seek together. Sarah
even read to Fluffy every night at bed time.

One morning, Sarah woke up and couldn't find
Fluffy any where. She looked in her bedroom, in
her closet, under the bed, in her mom's room, and
in the kitchen. Fluffy was no where to be found!
