“Hurry up! You’re going to be late to school Jenny!” exclaimed Jenny's mom.
“Coming,” Jenny screamed.
As she came down the stairs, Jenny hurled her backpack onto her back and dashed to the bus.
Before she managed through the doorway, her mom called, “Wait a minute! Aren't you forgetting something?”
Jenny stopped in her tracks, turning back to face her mom who was holding a brand new pink lunchbox.
“You can’t start 2nd grade without a new lunchbox. Here take it,” her mom insisted.
With wide eyes, Jenny jumped up to her mom squealing, “Wow! Thanks!” and darted outside.

As soon as Jenny hopped onto the bus, she recognized her best friend's face right away.
“Rebeccacita!” shouted Jenny before she ran to sit with her, “Look at my lunchbox!”
In response, Rebeccacita exclaimed, “OoH. Is that new?”
“Yeah, I just received it today.”
Rebeccacita stared down at her own lunch, instead of a brand new pink box, there was only a paper bag. “I wish I could have a cool lunch bag like yours,” she whined.
Jenny smiled and looked awkwardly outside the window until the elementary school came into sight.

Children’s giggles and screams buzzed from the schoolyard while the students made their ways off the buses. Teachers raced back and forth, rounding up their delegated students and welcoming them with smiles and greetings. In all of the scurry, Jenny was still able to point out her friends.
“Hey, best pals!” Jenny exclaimed, “Look at this.” Gleaming with joy, Jenny held her lunch box to her friends’ faces. While Jenny could not contain her excitement towards her new lunch box, Rebeccacita felt ridden with jealousy. She wanted to steal Jenny’s lunchbox.

As the day continued, the students grew restless waiting for recess. Between Rebeccacita and Jenny, recess was always a special time to bond. While Jenny looked forward to this time together, Rebeccacita was planning on a way to receive a new pink lunch box of her own.

“Hey Rebeccacita,” Jenny hollered.
With aggression rising in her tone, Rebeccacita replied, “What’s up, Jenny? How’s your lunchbox?
“I Love it so much. Too bad you don’t have one,” Jenny answered. “Then we could be twins!”
“Maybe I can get my own, loser! Within seconds, RebeccaCita lunged towards Jenny’s lunchbox, grabbing it, and then pulling it towards herself. Jenny did all she could to hold on, but the anger rushing inside Rebeccacita caused her to pull harder.
