I dedicate this book to my amazing nephews, Noah and Joey. Always reach for the stars boys, and you will get far in life!
I love you,
Aunt AA

Noah and Joey were playing in their room with their buzz lightyear toy and looking at their stars on the wall. Noah said, "Joey, wouldn't it be so cool to go into space! I just read a book about all the planets and now I want to go visit them! What do you say?"
Joey responded, "I want to go to space too! But who should we bring with us? Lets bring Aunt AA! She is a teacher so she must know about space!"
At that moment, Aunt AA walked into the boys room and asked them what they were up to. "We want to go to space! Will you bring us please?!" yelled the boys.
Aunt AA said, "Of course! I am always up for an adventure. Are we ready to go to space? I think your mom wants us back before dinner so it may have to be a quick trip today. There are seven other planets that we have to visit. We are first going to go towards the sun, then we will come back and check out the others. Noah do you know where we are headed to first?"
Noah very excitedly said, "Before Earth is Venus, so we will head their first!"
Aunt AA said, "You are right! Why don't you tell Joey what is on Venus?"
"Joey, Venus has no moons and is considered the 'morning' or 'evening' star because we can see it at those times on Earth. Venus also spins the opposite way than the other planets." Noah explained.
Joey was very interested and wanted to know more, "Well how big is it and what is the temperature like there?"
"Venus is just a little smaller than Earth. It is about 81.5% of the size of Earth. It is around 864 degrees F here. We really only experience 100 degrees F on Earth, sometimes more. Can't you feel the heat through the windows now that we are here?" explained Aunt AA. "I think we should move on to the next planet, so that we can make it back in time for dinner!"

"Alright boys, we are now pulling up to Mercury. Mercury is actually the smallest planet in our Solar system. Joey do you know what solar system is" asked Aunt AA.
"Yes! The solar system is all of the planets, which is 8. It is also the moons and the sun." Explained Joey. He was very excited to give Aunt AA the definition.
"Mercury is just a little bit bigger than our moon. It is mainly made out of rock and iron ore. It is the closest planet to the sun but it is not the hottest. Oh no, Aunt AA the ship is getting to hot! I think we need to turn around" said Noah.
"Your right Noah." said Aunt AA. "But I can't just turn the rocket around. I have to use the gravity of the sun to fling me back the other way. Everyone hold on tight!" Aunt AA was able to use the Sun's gravitational pull to fling the rocket. They made it safely past Earth and our now flying up to Mars.
"Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and is known as the Red Planet" explained Noah."
"Mars is a lot like Earth. There are volcanoes, valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps. Mars also has the same rotational period and tilt. This makes Mars have seasonal cycles that are comparable to our own. But Mars atmosphere is too thin and its too far away from the sun for humans to live on. Mars has two small moons." Aunt AA taught the boys.

"Oh no! There is the asteroid belt! Asteroids are made up of rock and stone. That could really hurt our ship!" yelled Aunt AA.
"I got this!" yelled Joey. "It is just like playing my cars game with all of the cones you have to get around." Joey carefully maneuvered the rocket through the asteroid belt. They were then on their way to the next planet, Jupiter.

"Jupiter is the most massive planet in our Solar System. It is a gas giant, which means it is primarily made up of hydrogen and helium. Jupiter has a very high pressure and forces that produce the most violent storms. Jupiter has 67 known moons and has a ring around it." Aunt AA explained to Noah and Joey.
"Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun!" Joey excitedly explained."
"Thats right," said Noah. "Saturn is also a gas giant with layers of gaseous material surrounding a solid core. It has seven rings around it and 53 moons."
