Hi My Name Is Tim. I am a Leatherback Sea Turtle. This is my Home the wide open sea and I always have fun swimming.

The world is 95% water and the rest of the world is made of land. However our planet is being polluted by plastic products and other types of food and drink packaging.

I love this place it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. SPLOOSH! Wait what is this bottle doing in my home?

Who is throwing this plastic into my beautiful home?

Ouch! Who keeps throwing these bottles in to my ocean?

Hey you up there. Yeah you! What do you think you are doing throwing those bottles in my home? Can you please stop that. Please!

STOP that!

Why do you care what I do. It is just a couple of bottles in the water. They will dissolve eventually and you won't have to worry about them. Now go away.

NO! I won't go away until you stop. You are sadly mistaken. Plastic takes millions and millions of years to dissolve and if you don't stop I will have to leave and I won't be able to come back unless you stop. My home is overflowing with plastic trash. Please, I am asking you to stop.

If you don't stop I will have to leave because I will start to starve and the plastic will fill up the sea and I wont be able to reach my food. Also, predators will be closer to the water which will affect my entire ecosystem.

Who cares. It does not affect me or anyone else.

Tim? Where are you? Hey Tim where are you?

Tim if you can hear me I AM SORRY! Can you hear me I AM SORRY!

20 YEARS LATER

Hey kids well it has been 20 years and James still won't stop so I had to leave. I had to leave my home, my friends, and everything I knew.
