Way #1: Students will be provided a cup with shape manipulatives. Put the six squares into an array with two rows. Then, place the hexagon in front of them. Put three triangles above the hexagon, up, down, up. (Do this on the document camera.) Have students work in group to name all of the shapes.
Way #2 Have students trace a large rectangle pattern. Place a large circle in front of it, trace. Put a Pentagon pattern on top of the large circle, trace. Lastly, give one small circle pattern to make 4 wheels. Have students work in groups and possible do on chart paper, color.
