Once upon a time, little dolphin was injured but came to a hospital. The hospital said she would not be able to return home. They put her in a ocean water pool.

The little dolphin's name was Dawn. Dawn found many things to explore the first few days. But on the fourth day, she was bored. She ached for one thing. A friend.

Every so often a boy or girl came to feed or play with her but she wanted someone who would play with her all the time.

Dawn was also annoyed because millions of people came everyday to look at her and some of the other creatures. The main attraction was a tailless dolphin named Winter.

Dawn was jealous because Winter had a pal and she didn't. A few times, she went to the wall in between her and Winter and Winter's pal and talked a little, asking if Winter's pal, who's name was Hope, wanted to come play. Hope was always glad to, she hinted that slow Winter was most of the time boring, but couldn't get over the wall.

Dawn oftenly dreamed of her pal back in the ocean. Her pal was named Dusk. She missed playing with her.

The people did bring toys, but after playing with the toys for a while, she became bored of them.

One day she heard some workers at the hospital discussing her boredom and something very important.



Reader, I'm pretty sure your thinking and wondering what that important thing is. It law. The law of a female dolphin must be paired with another female dolphin if the dolphin has to stay there. They had this law putt before them before when Winter's pal Panama died.

One day, they did find a female dolphin. In fact, it was the very next day. They found her stranded on the beach.

After the rescue, the workers ponder up a name. They had already nursed the baby to health since they rescued her very soon after she got beached.

The team first decided to put the baby with Dawn. Dawn was overjoyed to have a baby to take care of and a friend who would soon grow up to be very playful.

People who heard about the arriving of the baby, voted names. Just to name a few: Faith, Shelly, Lola, but most people vote Sunset or Star.

Almost to decide her own name, the 1 week old baby dolphin jumped up and flopped. Over and over, she did it. The team was watching this show and all decided on the name Star.

Star and Dawn are great buddies and are playing all the time. Dawn is 7 and Star is 3. Both of them are like mother and daughter. At feeding time, Dawn let's Star eat first. When Dawn and Star are doing one of their show (which happen at 11:00 A.M., 2:00 P.M., and 5:00 P.M.), Star let's Dawn go first and Dawn goes first to show Star how to do it.

Both are inseparable. They always want to be together unlike Winter and Hope, who can be separated.

They are truly the best of friends.
