What are Veterinarians?

Chapter 1

What do They do?

Veterinarians help animals when they are sick and they help keep animals from getting sick .

They also treat diseases that animals might get.

Also, veterinarians just check animals out every year or every six months to make sure they are doing good and that they are not sick.

What do They Treat?

Vets cure diseases such as kidney disease which is when your dog’s kidneys that balance certain substances in the blood and filter out the body's wastes as urine. 

Other common diseases are Cancer, diabetes, Heart worm, Kennel Cough, Parvovirus, Rabies, and Ringworm, all of which a Veterinarian can treat.

How to Become a Vet?

If you want to become a vet you have to do a list of things. One

of these

things is

to hold a

bachelors

degree from

a four

year college.

Then, move on to veterinary medicine school.

What IS Their Salary?

Becoming a vet may sound easy, especially since their salary can go up to almost 90,000 U.S dollars, but there is a reason that they get paid so much. Imagine giving your beloved pet to a doctor that is supposedly supposed to make them feel better, and then they don't feel better, but worse.

Then the company can loose a lot of money and they can loose their job, and you could loose your pet. This is why they make sure that you have the qualifications to become a vet, and with all that responsibility you can get paid a lot of money.
