"If you look for perfection, you'll never be content."
Leo Tolstoy

This was my first time on an airplane and I have to admit, I was pretty nervous. I'm not sure what I was afraid of. I guess I was just filled with the fear of the unknown. What's it like up there? Will I get nauseous? Air travel is pretty safe but a part of me was concerned that something could possibly go wrong.

I tend to get a little claustrophobic so I didn't want to sit in the middle between my parents. My Dad thought that I would enjoy having a window seat. And he was right. Wow! What an amazing view! The moment I looked out the window all my fears seemed to disappear. I was in awe of the beautiful scenery below and the wispy clouds that surrounded us.

"So Jax, how are you enjoying your first time flying?" "It's awesome Dad! I wish I had done it a lot sooner. You really gain a new appreciation for the world from being so high up in the sky. And....." "And what son?" "Oh, it's nothing. I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Must've been a flock of birds."

Maybe I had seen one too many science-fiction movies but I could've sworn that there were a group of spaceships starting to hover around our plane. Nah! My mind must be playing tricks on me. I must've had spaceships on my mind after watching that science-fiction movie when we first started our flight or perhaps........Ooof! Something just hit the plane!

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. We appear to be experiencing a little turbulence. We ask that you remain calm, stay seated, and fasten your seat belts. This is just a minor......Holy Cow! What are those?" the Captain exclaimed. Okay, now I was starting to worry. Something bad was definitely happening.

Everybody on board began to panic as our plane was being shaken by some mysterious force. It had to be those alien spacecrafts I saw buzzing around the plane. It felt as though though we were being pulled upwards. We floated through the clouds and eventually left the Earth's atmosphere. We were in outer space now and I had no idea where we going or who was behind it Suddenly all of the screaming stopped and everyone became eerily calm.

Eventually our plane landed on some exotic looking planet. We all seemed to be in a state of shock as nobody made a sound. We all sat there perfectly still in a state of disbelief. Where were we? Were those actual aliens? I looked around my fellow passengers and aside from a few bumps and bruises, there didn't seem to be any serious injuries. "Welcome Eathlings" a booming voice called out. "You have landed on the planet Arcadia. And as our guests, you are invited to stay for as long as you like."

"We do not have names on this planet as all of us are equals. If you choose to live among us I promise that you will never get sick. You will always have the best that Arcadia has to offer. Everything will be done for you. Always. All we ask in return is that you allow for us to observe you. The choice is yours." After being cooped up inside a crowded airplane, one brave soul ventured out to greet the alien.
