This is dedicated to Ms. Taranec because we don't have a choice and we want extra credit.

Once upon a time there was guy named Ismail. He loves drawing, especially architecture. He could sit for hours making art, sometimes he wouldn't sleep. He lived in Mecca, his biggest dream was to make Mecca more bright and colorful. He wanted to express his opinions and feelings, but, he was also terrified of embarrassment. He was scared of being humiliated for his new and not ordinary style of art.
Once he was sitting on a bench in the middle of the street. He drew a wonderful picture that he was very proud of. He looked at the street and realized that there are a lot of people walking around, merchants and kids having a good time. He decided to show his work to others. So he did. He showed the painting to others and was confident that everybody would love it. But nobody did. Everybody hated it. He ran away crying because everyone said he had no talent.

Ew! You're work is disgusting! Why do you even call yourself an artist?

This is embarrassing!

For the next week Ismail didn't leave his room, he was so ashamed of himself. He was so sad that he didn't even go to the streets to do his artwork. He was staying home and did nothing but lay on his bed."Why does nobody like my artwork? I don't get it!" he said as a big tear rolled down his cheek. "Am I not good enough?" he asked himself. Suddenly he had an idea. "I can show everyone that I'm a great artist!" he said and rushed out the door

For another week Ismail stayed at home, he stayed up all night making art. He made more art than he's ever made before. Paint on the walls and the ceiling, his room was a mess but he didn't stop. He kept on making art for the rest of the week. He knew that no one can stop him from creating bright and colorful artwork. He kept pursuing his greatest passion - art. He didn't care about what anyone thought.
