Detectives Elliot Stinger and Olivia Bugson have arrived to investigate the disappearance of a girl after breakfast. They are greeted by a police officer. "Apparently a young girl was eating her curds and whey when along came a spider and.....well you know the rest." "Any witnesses?" Detective Bugson asked. "Just one. She's inside if you'd like to talk to her." "We'll take it from here" replied Detective Stinger. The detectives entered the house to find a frightened goose, a bowl and spoon, and a tuffet that had been knocked over.

'Hi there Miss Goose?" "It's Mother." "I'm Detective Bugson and this is my partner Detective Stinger. We're from the Special Bugs Unit. Can you tell us what happened here?" "Well I left Miss Muffet alone to eat her curds and whey when I heard an awful shriek. I ran back to the kitchen but when I got there she was gone." "Did you see any strange bugs in the area?" Stinger questioned. "No but I did notice a spider web that wasn't there earlier this morning." "Here's my card. Call us if you can think of anything else that could help us."

"You thinking the same thing I am Elliot?" "Yeah. What kid eats curds and whey in 2018?" "No, I'm talking about the webs he left behind. I think he was trying to send a message." "We'll find out more after we get the lab results." "Captain Crawler also wants us to talk to Dr. Fang from the FBI - Federal Bureau of Bugs. Apparently he really knows his stuff." "Get a good sleep and I'll see you tomorrow at SBU Headquarters." "Goodnight Elliot. Don't let the bedbugs bite." "Ha, ha. Very funny Liv."

"What do you got for us Dr. Fang?" asked Detective Stinger. "The spider doesn't match any of the creepy spiders in our database. But it does appear that Miss Muffet suffers from a condition called Arachnophobia. An intense fear of spiders. When the spider sat down beside her, she was filled with such terror that she ran off." "She could be anywhere in this big city" Detective Bugson worriedly remarked. 

"Detectives, I need to see you in my office.""We got a call on our tip line about a similar spider. It may or may not be the one associated with Miss Muffet's disappearance but I'd like you to check it out anyways. You can find him by the waterspout." "Itsy Bitsy's house?" asked Stinger. "Yeah, why?" "A few years ago he kept climbing up the waterspout until the rain came and washed him out. We were never able to capture him." "Try to stay calm this time Elliot" the Captain warned.
