Good afternoon! I am here today to talk to you about the wonderful Florida landmark we all know as Devil’s Den. Something becomes a state park when the state decides that there is an area worth protecting due to its natural beauty, recreational interest, or historical value. Florida currently has 175 state parks and 9 state trails that are funded by the state and provide employment to many citizens throughout the Florida. If I am elected, I will petition to the state administration to make Devil’s Den a state park and ensure that it is properly protected and funded to stay safe, open, and available to everyone. Early Floridian settlers gave Devil’s Den its name because of the steam that could be seen rising from the top of the cave in the mornings. It is natural landmarks like this that deserve our funding, as well as our time, and it is one of my biggest issues that I stand for on my campaign. Thank you for coming out!

Human Remains Found: Possible Homicide

Today at Devils Den, human remains were found buried deep in the cave. Officials say that the remains were found while divers were scuba diving in the cave. Upon the preliminary investigation of the remains, the officials have presumed that this was not an accident but have not yet ruled it a homicide.
The locals that live around Devil’s Den are all in complete shock that there were remains found and that it is possibly a homicide. One local said, “This community is very close, to think that someone murdered another person is sickening. We all are so close and consider each other family.”
The officials are still attempting to determine the cause of death and determine whether or not it was a murder or accidental drowning.
The remains are believed to be five to ten years old, and are female in their mid- twenties, and presumed to be a scuba diver. If you have any information pertaining to the investigation, please call the Williston Police Station at (352)-555-5567.
