Dear Cat Journal,

Today is going to be the WORST DAY OF ALL!!! My owners are going to get a DOG. I know, it's crazy. They were supposed to buy me catnip, too! I'm really mad at my owners. I was so scared and so mad that I couldn't sleep or take a nap. The first time I heard it, I went to sleep, but I had a nightmare. I had a nightmare about dogs attacking me and this canine intruder came and was torturing other cats to work for him. One of his least favorite cats in the whole thing was me. I know. He really hated me in that dream.

I hope that my owners see that the dog is going to be super mean to me when he's near me or anything.

Dear Cat Diary,

The next morning I woke up so scared. Then I turned over, but there wasn't a dog there. I realized that I was going to go with them to the pet store. I was going to see all those frightening dogs looking at me, growling at me. I hope I get a dog that is really lazy and he doesn't mind me and I don't mind him. You know that kind of thing.

Or, maybe they're getting another cat, which I would like.

Or a bird! Yum yum yum!

Or a rat. Yummy!

I hope they just don't get a dog.

They brought me to the Humane Society. I wasn't joking there! And I looked at all the mean dogs' faces. They were so scary! They also forced me into the carrier. I was whimpering and hissing at them while my owners tried to silence me.

While I was there, I heard dogs growling at me. When I saw one of them, the family thought it was cute. So they got that one, instead of all the ones that looked a little bit less scarier. He was black, brown, and white. He was humongous and had hair all over him. He looked so weird. They bought a carrier for him that was much bigger and much nicer. "Grrr!" he said to me.
