Hi, I'm Ava, and this is my book.

You can tell it is my book because there are words everywhere!

A book that doesn't have to:

start with

Once Upon a Time

or end with The End.

or Happily Ever After

The story is of a little something that happened a few days ago. It is filled with magic! This is my story, and it will not start with or end with those 3 lines.

I'm in charge of this book, so I know everything about it

- including the most important thing,

which is the ENDING.

Let me tell you something right now....

I'm tired of Happily Ever After's. Everytime you read a book its just THE END END END! Give me a break, and tell another story that's not so perfect.

So my story is what I want. And this is a list of what I want:

I want pretty things

I want scary things

I want fairies and princesses

and castles.

I want funny things,

exciting things

and terrible things!

Hmm, yes I like the sound of that. Enough chit chat.

Let's Begin the story...

Once Upon a time

There was a beautiful girl. Her name was Ava.

Ava lived in a faraway not-so-perfect world, called Earth.

She lived with her mum, her dad, and her baby sister. Next door was her best friend, Dan. It was a not-so-perfect life.

Well it was.... kinda.

Ava loved to read. But everytime she would finish a book, she will frown.

She wonders...

'Why do fairytales live a perfect life?'

Why do stories have to end with...

It is not fair that the princesses and princes, witches and wizards and even goblins and gnomes live a perfect life!

Once they are drawn on paper...BAM! They live the rest of their life with a smile - rainbows and sunshine! Singing and dancing!

Ava picked up a pen and paper and began to write a little story of her own, hoping to see a change.

But it was no use, she lived on Earth, they lived in a mystical land.

She has to work hard,

they need to cry among a window sill for the 'Fairy Godmother' to appear - and grant them WHAT THEY WANT!

Then there was a knock... 'Sweetie, Dan came to visit!' said mum.

Dan went straight upstairs. He was in a hurry. But why?

Dan was holding something big! It was... a BOOK?!

'Not again, Dan', Ava mumbled to herself.

Dan is 10 years old and Ava is only 3 months younger. But Ava is smarter,

Dan is, well....

a DREAMER!

Who knows how they relate, but they sure love each other

...as friends.

'I truly think this book has some magical power!' said Dan.

'Why is that?' asked Ava.

"I'll explain everything later. I will be back soon, just DON'T open the book!"

As Dan rushed downstairs, Ava did something she shouldn't have done...

Ava took the book and opened it up.

'OH NO! WHAT'S HAPPENING? DANNNNN!'

....I should have listened to Dan....

Dan heard her calling, so he rushed back upstairs to see she is disappearing. "AVA NOOOOO!!!"

Ah yes, perfect! This is my kind of story. So...

There was no Once Upon a time, no The End or any Happily Ever After! Let's get back to the story.

"What is this place?" Ava said to herself.

"Where is everyone?"

Ava began to worry,

but she was fascinated

by the world!

It's so quiet and mysterious.
