Once upon a time, there was a happy Penguin named Peg. Peg loved school, but did not enjoy the long walk to school everyday with her best friend Penny. It made her very tired.


One day, Peg's teacher announced that they would soon begin swimming lessons. Peg had never swam before, so she was feeling excited and nervous. Penny turned to Peg: "I'm scared, Peg! What if I can't swim?"









When Jim and his gang, the popular kids, saw Penny upset, they began to tease her; laughing and calling her weak. "Don't worry, Penny!," said Peg, "We can work together to improve!" This made Peg feel a lot better.













The next day, swimming lessons began. The teacher stood at the front of the classroom, ready to teach. Peg and Penny could hear the popular kids whispering to each other about how lame swimming lessons were, and how good they already were."I did competition swimming in New York, and I won gold," Jim boasted. Peg ignored them and continued her exercises.

The next day during their second lesson, Peg was struggling with the new things she was learning. Her teacher told her to stay optimistic, because it just takes practice to learn new things. Jim began to tease her, while he continued boasting about how good he was at swimming.

Peg went home feeling sad and disappointed about what Jim had said to her, but she remembered what her teacher had said, and began practicing positive self talk. She told her self that she would learn to swim, and that it would just take practice. After this, she felt a lot more positive.

Days went on, and by the end of the week, Peg and Penny were able to swim. Although they still had areas to improve on, they could do basic strokes and were improving day by day.






The next day, Peg and Penny were playing in the playground at lunch, when they suddenly heard a loud cracking sound, followed by yelling and screaming. They run outside to see what was happening, when they saw that...
