"What I say is that, if a fellow really likes potatoes, he must be a pretty decent sort of fellow." A. A. Milne

Tater and Spud were the best cops in Yamville. They arrested more criminals than any other officer and more importantly, they were cool dudes. The pair were on top of the world when tragedy struck one year ago. The cops were in pursuit of The Leprechaun, a dangerous bank robber who had evaded capture for months. Tater and Spud were assigned to the case. Little did they know that it would be their last as a team.

The Leprechaun (real name Paddy O'Reilly) was Ireland's most notorious criminal. He was on the Most Wanted List of every international police agency. He fled Ireland a couple of years ago and resumed his life of crime in Yamville. The local police force came close to capturing him but the insidious Irishman was always one step ahead of them. He definitely had the luck of the Irish. Detectives Tater and Spud were relentless in their pursuit of the bad guy. Eventually they were able to corner him at an old fast food restaurant. The building was surrounded by police. There was no way out for the smooth criminal.

FOZZIE'S BURGERS

"Nice work boys" Sarge said as he patted the Tater on the back. "We've got him surrounded. There's no way out for The Leprechaun this time. Where's your partner Tater?" "He was here a minute ago. Oh no! I think he went inside to confront The Leprechaun." "I love his enthusiasm but he's hard to control at times." "Alright Tater, we'll keep The Leprechaun occupied while you sneak around back and arrest him." "I'm on it Sarge!" Tater went around back and climbed through an open window.

"Put the gun down copper. I surrender. It looks as if long last you've finally captured me. Or have you?" The Leprechaun taunted the detective. "You have quite a big decision to make. Either you can arrest me now or save your partner." "What are you talking about?" "Your partner tried to be the hero but I set a little trap for him." "Where is he?" Detective Tater screamed. "You can find him by the deep fryers. He should golden brown by now." "NO!" Tater shouted as he shoved the Irishman to the ground.

"Spud? Oh no! What happened?" "I was pushed into a deep fryer. I don't have much longer. You were the best partner a potato could ask for." "Hang in there Spud. Help is on the way." "It's too late for me but not for you. Promise me that you will stop The Leprechaun once and for all." "I will. We will. Spud?" Sadly, Spud succumbed to his injuries. "No! It's not fair. C'mon buddy! Open your eyes!" "He's gone Tater" Sarge said as he fought back tears. "I will not rest until I have avenged my partner's death. And nobody is going to stop me!" "You're a cop Tater. Your job is to serve and protect. Not to take the law into your own hands."

Losing his best friend and partner had a serious effect on Tater. He was a good cop who always obeyed the law. But now the cool cop had become a hot head who often argued with his fellow officers "Tater, I need to see you in my office" Sarge beckoned. "I know that you're still grieving for Spud. We all are. But we can't tolerate your behavior any longer. I'm going to have to suspend you indefinitely. Please hand in your water pistol and badge." "What about The Leprechaun? He's still out there!" "And we'll catch him eventually. This is too personal for you and it would only jeopardize our case." Tater stormed out and would've slammed the door if he had arms.

SPUD

The suspension was actually a blessing in disguise for Tater. He could now focus all of his energy on finding The Leprechaun and bringing him to justice. The fact that he didn't have to obey any laws made his quest for revenge even more appealing. It was time for Tater to do things his way. He had always been the ideal officer and a good citizen. But not anymore. This time it was personal. Every day since he lost his friend, Tater visited him at the local cemetery. He found courage and strength that he didn't know he had. "Don't worry my friend. I will avenge your death. As for The Leprechaun, let's just say that his luck is about to run out."

MICKEY'S PUB
ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARTY!

One evening while cruising around town, Tater came across a raucous Irish Pub. "I totally forgot about St. Patrick's Day. If anyone would know where I can find The Leprechaun it would be these lads." Tater headed inside the bar to find people laughing, dancing, and singing. "What'll be Mac?" the bartender asked. "I'll have a Fresca." "You mean green beer?" the man responded with a look of disgust. "Oh sorry. I meant to say a green beer." Tater took his glass of beer and began to survey the bar for people to talk to. He soon made eye contact with another patron and headed over to a darkened corner of the pub.
