This book is dedicated to my little buddy, Tara, and anyone who loves Christmas!
(Cole is inspired by Baily)

It was a cold December day and a young boy named Cole Marshall hopped off the bus and walked to his school. It was a week before their Christmas concert and Cole really wanted to preform. Cole was a pretty funny guy and he was always cracking jokes. When he grew up he wanted to be a comedian.
Cole walked into his school, and everywhere around he saw posters up on the wall which were giving information about the "White Mountain Elementary School Snowflake Christmas Talent Show".
Cole thought the name was silly and too long, but that didn't stop him from wanting to perform.

Come to the White Mountain Elementary Snowflake Christmas Talent Show!
December 16th, 6:00-7:30pm

Cole walked to his music class, where Mr. Henderson taught.
"Hi, Mr. Henderson!" Cole said cheerfully as he walked into the classroom.
"Hi, Cole!" Mr. Henderson replied, standing right next to a big poster for the talent show.
"Are you going to perform in the talent show, Cole? I haven't seen your name on the sign up list yet. You're a pretty funny guy! You would have a great performance!"
Cole shrugged, looking down at the floor. "I just have.. um- stage fright." Cole quickly lied.
"You don't have stage fright, Cole! You love performing!" Mr. Henderson said, starting to feel worried about Cole. "Why do you not want to perform?" He asked with a frown.
"Molly is telling me not to. She wants to be the star of the show." Cole replied, looking down at the floor as the rest of the class piled in.
"Molly Marshall..." Mr. Henderson mumbled under his breath. "I'll have a conversation with her during lunch." Mr. Henderson said with a sigh.
Cole nodded softly. "Thank you, Mr. Henderson."
Cole then sat down and listened to the music lesson, stressing out about the Christmas concert.
Soon, class was done, and Cole walked out. It was now lunch time.
Cole walked to the cafeteria and sat down with a few of his friends, Lukas, Max and Kieran. While Cole and his friends were eating and chatting, Mr. Henderson was talking to Molly.
"I've heard that you have been bullying Cole into not doing the Christmas show," Mr. Henderson started.
"I was not! I just made a slight suggestion to Cole! I told him that maybe a comedian... wasn't that good for a talent show!" Molly lied, with some attitude.
"Molly, I know you're lying. Cole told me that you are telling him not to because you want to be the star of the show. I know that you have been working very hard on your dance routine, but that doesn't mean that you're allowed to take Cole's chance at performing away." Mr. Henderson said.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Henderson, sir." Molly said quietly, looking down at the floor.
Mr. Henderson found Cole during lunch and let him know to start practicing for his performance.
Everyday after school Cole practiced his Christmas comedy routine. He showed his mom his performance every night.
"I think I'm ready for the concert tomorrow, Mom." Cole said, on the night before the Christmas concert.
"You're going to do amazing, sweetie. I'll be there, right in the front row watching you!" Amanda Marshall, Cole's mom said, giving her son a hug.
