May not be allowed in a school
depending on the school's internet policy due to
possible networking sites being blocked by
filters. One would need to check with their
administrator for approval.

*Teaches by engaging students in
technology.
*Educational based networks assist all
students in their learning process.
*Age, gender, level or interests do not
matter.
*Students and teachers can be involved
simultaneously in a research process
(questions, answers, etc).

EdmodoUser Policy:
It is possible that Edmodo could be
blocked in your school. E-mail your
administrator or technology supervisor
and request for it to be unblocked.

* Creates motivation in students by
engaging them in something similar to
facebook- High interest in students.
*Has an app for ipads that can give
kinesthetic learners a more hands on
approach with the Edmodo experience.
*Posting and/or commenting allows
students with high anxiety to feel more
comfortable responding.

PreziUser Policy:
The school may have Youtube videos blocked
which are a part of Prezi, in which an
administrator would need to be contacted.

*Works well for students who are absent or
will be absent for an extended length of time
by watching the lessons.
*More engaging than powerpoints which
help keep the attention of the students who
lose focus easily.
*Can be used for any grade level or subject.
*Videos, links, and pictures can be added to
aide in the understanding of concepts and
ideas for visual and auditory learners.

LinkedInUser Policy:
No amendments to the districts acceptable use
plan are necessary. You may need to contact
your administrator or technology department
to gain access.

*Differentiated Instruction is now an open
group with Michael Fleischner through a group
he started on LinkedIn, with Achieve 3000
