In the Ningaloo Reef on the West Coast of Australia lies Willow the Whale Shark, or known as Rhincodon Typus. Willow and her best friend Willa just migrated here from the Great Barrier Reef on the East Coast of Australia.

Willow and Willa traveled here this spring for feeding. The east coast has the best plankton in the whole world. Willow and Willa were so excited to eat it. 

OH NO!

Willow and Willa were very full from all of the great plankton they just ate. Whale sharks must eat a lot to fill their up to 41,000 pound bodies. They decided to go for a swim for some exercise.

They traveled very slowly, as Whale Sharks can only travel up to 4 miles per hour. On their journey, they saw a boat.

"What's that?" Willa asked.

"A boat, silly! It's best to steer clear of them, as they like to hunt fish like us," Willow replied.

Willow and Willa began to swim away from the boat, but Willa got caught in something. It soon scooped her up and started to pull her toward the surface.

"Willow! Help!" Cried Willa.

"Don't worry Willa, I'll save you!" shouted Willow.

Willow tried to help Willa escape, but she wasn't strong enough. She couldn't tear the net on her own. Willa was very afraid and she begged Willow for help. Willow felt so helpless, she didn't know what to do. The net was slowly carrying Willa to the surface.

Willow began to look around and see if she could find anything to help her. She didn't see anything and began to think that her best friend would be taken away forever. All of a sudden, in the distance, she saw a fish actively swimming around.

"Help! Help me please! My friend is stuck!" Willow yelled as loud as she could.
