Botides, Corfu
These are the checkers that crack at the footpaths of the streets that walk on the slopes of the Old Town of Corfu on the morning of Holy Saturday. This custom marks the First Resurrection, at the Church of Our Lady, where the earthquake made according to the Bible is represented in the grave of Jesus, becomes an artificial disaster. Then the Corfiots fill the bikes with water and fly them from the balconies of the bastards. Then the Corfu Philharmonic circulates in the city playing melancholy pieces.

Ceremony of the Holy WashBowl, Patmos
The ceremony of the sanctuary is a religious custom and it is about the representation of Jesus' action before the Last Supper. Christ took a bowl of water and pulled the feet of his disciples. The rebellion will take place at noon on Thursday, at Xanthos Square, in front of the Town Hall. The 12 Apostles are subjected to monks or clergy and the role of Christ, the abbot of the St. John the Theologian Monastery, while the role of the Evangelist is a clergyman. The representation takes place in a strict monastic climate with Apostle Peter and Judas as "protagonists" until the abbot symbolically launches the monks' feet with water. Then the procession returns to the Monastery.

Postmembrane Epitaph, Zakynthos
The Epitaph Sequence, according to an old custom, is not on the Good Friday night, but on the early hours of the Holy Saturday morning at 2.00 am. At about 4.00 in the morning, the Epitaph goes out, returning to 5.30 at the temple, where the Sequence continues. During the first Resurrection, the breaking of the clay pitches by housewives of all houses.
Guerilla warfare, Chios
We all know the spectacular custom of Chios's "rocket warfare". This custom is an old Vrontadusian custom, which has its roots in the era of Ottoman domination. The inhabitants of the parishes of Saint Mark and Virgin Mary of Eretthiani, two of the churches facing each other, made old, improvised canes, which over the years evolved into improvised rockets. The rocket war is a special custom in Chios, and the preparation of the rockets begins immediately after Easter to be ready next year.

The burning of Judas, Thrace
We all perceive the content of the custom, but the interest is in how it is applied. The children make the model of Judah and surround it from house to house asking the inhabitants of the branches that use the Good Friday after the Epitaph walks to fire and burn Judah. Indeed, it is customary to keep part of this ash in order to cast it into the memorial. An all-encompassing custom takes place in Leonidio of Arcadia immediately after the Resurrection. The residents build small, colorful balloons that they leave in the sky immediately after the Resurrection. The predominant theory of the origin of the custom says it came from local sailors who were impressed by a similar custom they saw in an Asian country and then transported it to their homeland. The first testimony of the custom comes from 1910. In any case, until today, more than a century later, the balloons of the Resurrection continue to be one of the most impressive resurrected customs in Greece.
The "dead" Zapheiris, Epirus
On Easter Sunday and throughout Spring in Epirus and in some parts of Macedonia, the saffirish custom revives. The name is not fixed and can also be seen as Mayopoulos or even Fuskodentri. This custom is essentially a play for children and its revival. The child having the role of Zafire represents the dead, while the rest gathers flowers and leaves. They decorate it and at the same time laugh it by holding reeds in their hands instead of candles.Αt the end of the paul, all the children together shout "Sacou Sapiri, Skoukou!" And the "dead" resurrects from the flower-trimmed bed and hunts them shouting and laughing. Woe to the unlucky who will catch the resurrected Zafiris, for he will be the "dead" of next year or the next round.
