Since then, solar energy has taken great strides to become a leader in renewable energy sources. Solar power works because it uses the sun's rays and converts the rays into usable energy by exciting electrons in silicon cells from the photons in the rays. In order to create solar energy you must have solar panels.

Solar panels consist of crystalline silicon. After the solar panels you need batteries which can discharge and recharge the energy countless times throughout the day to disperse energy when the sun isn't available. A charge controller is also needed to regulate the charge. Lastly, you need a power converter to convert this energy into electricity. The future of Solar energy looks bright as it could replace certain fossil fuels as a more eco-friendly energy source

Now that the background information has been sorted out I can detail the advantages to using this magical power! The biggest advantage is that solar energy is a renewable energy source, meaning that the power source(The Sun) will not run out. The most popular energy sources are mainly non-renewable such as coal or oil meaning they have a very finite amount and can be used up 100%. Another major advantage would be that the electricity bills would go down.

Another advantage I have for you is that solar energy can be very diverse. This means it can have many different uses.
