I threw on my shirt and pants and stumbled down the stairs to get ready. This was the day that I was going to my Papp's Job. VROOM!!!! My Pappy just pulled up into the drive way to pick me up. My eye  were  glowing golden when he came to the door.  

To begin, the day was here. I was ready to go to my Pappy's Job.  

My Pappy works as a coal miner, but he operates big machines to dig things up.  

I was so excited that I was just about to jump off the walls. My body was ready to go,go,go!    

All of a sudden, I hear this Silverado truck engine outside and a big slam of a car door. It was my Pappy!  

I raced down the stairs and got my shoes and coat on. When my Pappy got to the door, and I opened it and said,” Goodbye,” to my mom and dad. Then we were off.    

While my Pappy asked,” Are you excided to come and dig up some rocks or just have some fun.”  

I said,” Yes, I am, but how long does it take to get there?”  

My Pappy said,” ‘Bout 15-20 minutes.”  

When we got there ,  I raced out of the car and we started to drive a Dump Truck. It was the hugest thing ever! Its wheels were as big as a Ford F-150 On its bumper.  

I was the one that was driving, and my Pappy was the one that was pushing the peddle. I was doing well until I got to this sharp turn and there on the side was a Scotty’s Potty. I turned to fast and I crushed the Scotty’s Potty. My Pappy exclaimed,” You just crushed a Potty.  

  I stated,” I thought you were going to stop here, so I tried to pull over! I laughed with tears falling uncontrollably out of my eyes.    

So, after that, we went to the Drag Line.    

It was the hugest, biggest machine I ever saw! It was probably as big as a two Monster Trucks. So, we got into the Drag and my Pappy started up the big machine. As we started, the sound of the engine kept getting louder and louder. Then suddenly, the wire snapped on the bucket and it went crashing down into the huge hole.    

My first thoughts were like boulders crashing down on me.    

So, we went down in the huge hole. It felt like hours before we got to the bucket! It was wedged between a huge rock. My pappy was so furious, that steam was coming out of his ears! He stomped back up the hill and brought back some shovels. So, we dug and dug forever, until we finally knocked the huge rock off the bucket.  

So, we tied a new wire to the bucket, and we kept digging rocks. I felt so exhilarated when we got the bucket out of the huge hole. We learned a lesson by making sure everything is up to code, and that everything looks and sounds good too.
