To my wrestling coaches

I could feel the sweat collapsing off my body. I could hear my coach screaming. My coach kept screaming “Expand your legs!” “Expand your legs!” After a while f battling, I was on my back. Then my coach got louder and started screaming,” kick!”” kick!” Then he was also screaming, "Roll and get off your back!” Then I heard the refs hand slap off the mat. I've lost.
We were on our way to Scranton PA. My body was collapsing, and I couldn’t stop talking with such a crackly voice. At first Caleb wasn’t being supportive he was being little bit of a jerk.
While my mom dad are both encouraging. They are always saying “Go kick butt” or “Go do your best.”
Finally, we reached Scranton. Then we saw my coach and he said, “Are you ready?”
In a crackly voice I said, “Yeah I guess” He said “Good. Because your wrestling Dylan Pitzer”
I asked “who is he.”
He said, “You don’t need to know just wrestle tough.”
“Okay. Lets do it” I said.
Then we went and weighed in and then we went down to the wrestling room and I warmed up. So, then we were waiting for my name to be called. Then they said “Lane Lambert and Dylan Pitzer.”
My coach said, “You ready?”
“Yeah” I said nervously.
So, then we went out and we got stretched out and so then we shook hands and the ref blew the whistle.
My coach started screaming “Watch out for the double leg.”
But I thought uh oh. And then he took me down in a double leg. And when that happened my eyes got wide open and I said in my head oh no. I thought to myself why I didn’t sprawl? He lifted me up like I was as light as a feather. Then my coach told me to belly out and I did. Then the period was over.

While the second period started, I had to be on the bottom. So, when that happened, I thought to myself why do I have to go on the bottom?
When the ref blew the whistle, my coach said, “Get up!” “Get up!” But I couldn’t. It was the wrong move because once I took a step up, he put me in a cradle and tried to put me on my back. I was thinking I'm not going to give up. And I didn’t but I was trying to kick out. After a while I heard the refs hand slap off the mat. The match was over I got pinned. I have got pinned in the second period, but I was still proud of myself for not giving up. We shook hands and my coaches told me I did excellent and my coaches told me he was a state champion.
I said, “He was.”
“Yeah” he said.
“Why didn’t you tell me before? "I said.
“Because I know you wouldn’t of try as hard as you did.”
“Oh” as I said as I was calming myself.
Then I made it to the second day of states because I beat before. They told me that 80% PA kids couldn’t beat him.
I was disappointed that I lost to him until I figured out, he was a state champion. I learned my lesson and from now on I will try no matter what I'm playing. I hope to never wrestle a state champion again. No one should have to unless they absolutely have to .
