"Unhoppy"
What: Achilles Tendinitis is the overuse of the Achilles tendon. This is the band that connects the calf muscle to the back of your lower leg and heel bone.

Cause: This is caused by intense repetitive strain on the Achilles Tendon. The older you get the weaker it becomes.

Treatment: You can treat this by reducing your physical activity and stretching daily, after you do physical exercise. Also you can ice the area and wear a brace to prevent heel movement.
Fun Fact: If this isn't taken seriously, then it can cause ruptures in the tendon.

What: Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome also known as "jumper's knee." Also referred to as Patelltar Tendonitis is when inflation of your patellar tendon. This connects your patella to your tibia.

Cause: This is caused by the overuse of the knee joint. This injury is common in a lot of dancers, because one of the main causes in jumping on hard surfaces .

Treatment: Rest, Ice, Compression, and elevation is the best way to help this injury. But also by taking nonsteroidal and non inflammatory drugs.
My Experince: I have this injury in my knee til this very day. I knew something was wrong with my knee, because while I was practicing it would tart to hurt really bad. I didn't think much of it until one day at a competition I wasn't able to compete because of it. I went to the doctor the next day and he told me I had Jumper's Knee. All I had to do was stay off of it, keep it iced and always wear my knee brace when dancing. Which I have failed to do.

Tip: To avoid this injury, is to not do more work than you can handle.

What: Hip Impingement is a condition where there is abnormal wearing contact between the socket and ball of the hip joint.
Cause: This is caused by a hip socket that covers too much of the femoral head, and bumping it again and again can cause major damage.

Treatment: The main way to treat this injury is to reduce certain types of physical activity, and also start doing physical therapy. You might also have to take injections if needed.

Tip: To avoid pain and rubbing of your hip, don't sit with your legs crossed.
