"I think you boys are going to have a surprise soon." Nana said. My brother Cade and I looked at each other and at the very same time said "What kind of surprise?" Nana said "If I tell you it won't be a surprise anymore." "Can we have a hint?" We asked. "Nope, sorry." she said. "We are going to go crazy if you don't tell us!" we said. "It won't be long!" Nana said. My brother and I decided there was no use trying to pry it out of her, but we can't stand it!

Mmmm bacon. I must be hungry. I was dreaming about bacon! Wait if I was dreaming, why can I still smell it!? Yay it's Saturday, and I smell bacon! I jumped out of bed and opened my bedroom door at the same time my brother opened his. I asked him "Do you smell it too?" My brother Cade said "Yes!" "What else do you think we are having?" I said, "Pancakes I hope!" He said "Me too!" We ran downstairs and into the kitchen. Bacon and pancakes! We knew it! Happy dance!!!

Mmmmm Bacon!!

We sat in the Kitchen eating our delicious pancakes and bacon. There was warm maple syrup and strawberries too. "I wish everyday was Saturday" I thought. We were trying to decide what we would do over the weekend. We like to ride our quads. We have trails in the woods and we can always find an adventure. Last summer we were riding our quads and we saw something move in the grass. We stopped to see what it was. Laying in the grass was a baby deer! It was the cutest thing ever. We talked about petting it but we remembered what our Dad had told us about the mama deer. She would get Mad! So we just left it alone.

We finished eating breakfast. We always help clean up. My Dad even helps. He says if mom cooks we help clean up. The dishes were all done and we were going to get dressed. My Nana asked "What are you two up to today?" We told her "we didn't know what we were doing yet." "We are looking for an adventure!' we said. My Nana came into the kitchen She said "You boys have chores to do before your adventure." We knew we could do our chores fast when we really wanted to. So that was the plan. Then we would find an adventure!

Chores. I really really don't like chores. I do like the allowance I get for doing them though. We did our chores in the house and then we headed outside. Nana was in the garden doing something. It was a warm morning in May. Spring is my favorite. We stopped to talk to her. She asked us "If we remembered what she had told us a few days ago?" We looked at each other and at the very same time yelled "The surprise?" She laughed and said "I guess you do remember!" "Well it is here!" She said.
