To Dr.Powergirl and my future students!

On Will's first day of Science class at Bel Air Academy, he was nervous, because he saw Mr. Walls write "Nature of Science" on the chalkboard.

Will had never heard of the nature of science before! So he turned to Carlton to ask him about it.
"What is the nature of science?"
Carlton, shocked said, "They are the most important aspects that you need to know about science!"
That made Will even more nervous!

While Will was freaking out about the Nature of Science, Mr. Walls began to write, 'Number one: Science is tentative' on the chalkboard. Will had no idea how that related to science. He thought to himself, "Isn't science definite?"

? ? ? ? ?
After he whispered that question to himself, he noticed Mr. Walls write something else on the board.
"Number two: Science is based on empirical data!"
Now Will was really confused, "How can science be tentative and based on empirical data?"

Carlton could notice Will's confusion, so he told Will, "Just write down the aspects, I'll help you make sense of them later." Will nodded his head and said, "Yea, alright. Thanks."
So Will did exactly what Carlton told him to do, he just listen to Mr. Walls and wrote down all the aspects of the Nature of Science.
1: Science is tentative
2: Science is creative
3: Observation vs. Inference.
4: Subjectivity
5: Theory and Law
6: Empirical data
7: Social and Cultural context
After school that day, Carlton decided to write a little rhyme about the nature of science because he knew Will loved a good rhyme.

Carlton's rhyme went a little like this:
Science is tentative, Yet creative.
As the world changes, interpreted data rearranges.
This doesn't mean that science is isn't empirical, it means that the world is changing like a miracle.
Science wouldn't be science without empirical data, like a volcano wouldn't be cool without the magma.
In order to collect data we must observe, this means using our 5 senses when an experiment occurs.
Observe and infer and not the same, that's why they have different names.
Infer means to use reasoning, like how you use salt and pepper as your favorite seasonings.
