The Bible way to Heaven:

Step #1. Acknowledge That You Are A Sinner.

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." First big step to salvation is humbling yourself before the Holy God and acknowledge you are a sinner and you can't save yourself. The Bible is really clear on salvation. It is not based on how good we are. Why?  Romans 3:10, "There is none righteous, no not one." 

The Bible said, there is no one that is free of guilt. There is no one that doesn't sin.  No one is righteous in God's eyes. Why? because we sin.

What is sin? Sin is disobeying God's will, breaking God’s laws and commandments: lying, stealing, murder, worshiping idols and graven images, adultery, using God's name in vain, dishonoring parents, etc.

 All unrighteousness is sin (1 John 5:17), and the thought of foolishness is a sin (Proverbs 24:9).  All foolish thoughts are sin. We sin in the mind, in the heart, in words and in actions every day. We can't enter heaven with this kind of condition. Heaven will reject us. No sin is allowed in heaven. 

1 John 1:8,10, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”  If we say we do not sin, we are lying, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we say we have not sinned,  we make God a liar and we make the word of God a liar, and we make ourselves sinless or perfect. Perfect people don't need Jesus as Savior. They just want religion who can make them feel good and right.

Matthew 19:17, “There is none good but one, that is, God.”   Only God is good, the only one righteous. The only one who does not sin or make mistakes, does not need repentance to be saved.  The only One who is perfect, pure and holy, the Most Reverend, Potentate. He's the only One who deserved these title. 

First step to salvation is to acknowledge the truthfulness of the word of God that tells us we are sinners. 

STEP # 2. Realizing Sin Has a Penalty/Punishment

The bible said in Romans 6:23, “The wages of sin is death.”  

Second step to salvation is to understand that sin has a price; sin has consequences; sin has punishment: Death. Hell/Lake of Fire or the 2nd Death. The wages of sin is death. Physical death. Our body dies, it grows old and grow weak and die. But it doesn't end there. The Bible said in Hebrews 9:27, that it is appointed unto man to die once, after that is judgment. 

Matthew 10:28, “Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” 

Hell and the Lake of Fire, and the 2nd death  

2 Peter 2:4, “If God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”  If God did not spare the angels that sinned, he cast them down to hell, into chains of darkness, He won't also spare the wicked and unbelieving. After death, there is hell waiting for unsaved souls. And then there is also what is called the second death which is a place called the lake of fire. 

Revelation 20:14-15, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”  

Here's a list of who's going to hell or the lake of fire, or the second death: Revelation 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." 

Revelation 21:27, "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." One lie is enough to make you denied entry of heaven. All who maketh a lie will not enter in the holy city of God. You don't have to be a murderer, or a sorcerer, to be cast into hell. Just being a liar can make you thrown into hell. One lie makes you a liar. 

We all lied before, after, now and then. We all lie, in words, action, thoughts and hearts. In our sinful and fallen state, we cannot enter heaven. Our religion and our own good works and our own righteousness are like filthy rags in God's eyes and they can't get us to heaven. They are tainted with sin, like an offering with spots and blemishes, they are unacceptable to God.  Yes, God is love but He is also holy and He wont let any sin in heaven. And this is the bad news: We all sinned. We don't deserve heaven. We all deserve death, hell and lake of fire. 

BUT THERE'S GOOD NEWS!

STEP #3. Believe Christ Paid for Your Sins

We are sinners and we deserve going to hell, but there is good news: Christ paid for our sins. The Bible said in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” God proved His love for us, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay for our sins. He died the death of a sinner on a cross for us. 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;” This is the truth worthy to put your life on, that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Are you a sinner? Then Christ came for you and took your sins on His own body, carried them on the cross and died for you. The Bible tells us God loved us He Himself provided a way for us to be saved: He sent His own Son to propitiate for our sins. 

1 Joh 4:10 says, “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” Jesus Christ is the payment for our sins. He is the ransom, the sacrifice, the offering, the Lamb of God, the one that took our place, the one who lived without sin, the one that suffered in our place, died in our place,  shed His precious blood and paid for the punishment of our sins with His death, burial and resurrection. He is the perfect atonement that is acceptable to God.  He is the only sacrifice that pacify and appease God's wrath against sin because He is without spot, without blemish, without sin. He is the perfect Savior mighty to save.  1 Timothy 2:5-6 says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all."

Question: 

If Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, if  Jesus died for every body, does that mean every body is automatic saved? Is every body have eternal life and going to heaven since Jesus paid for the sins of the world?  No. 

What must you do then to be saved? What does the word of God say you must you do to be saved and have everlasting/eternal life?

Step # 4: Put Your Faith in Jesus/Believe on the Lord Jesus 

Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved.” Salvation is by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” What does John 3:16 say one must do to have everlasting life? It says, "Believe" in the only begotten Son of God. Know that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died to pay the punishment of your sins. That is good news! Somebody paid for your debt and that somebody is God Himself, the Creator of heaven and earth. He who created heaven and earth, also created/provided a way of Salvation for you. What does He wants from you? He wants you to believe in His Son. To put your faith in Him.

Step # 5: Call on the Lord Jesus, Ask for the Gift

Romans 10:9-10, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Confess is just opening your mouth and telling Jesus that you believe from your heart that He died on the cross for your sins and rose again from the dead and that you put your trust, your faith in Him.  Romans 10:11 says, “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” If you believe in Jesus, you will not be ashamed to confess it. And if you believe in Him you shall not be ashamed and disappointed because He shall give you what you’re asking for: salvation, if you ask for it.

Romans 10:13-14, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?”  Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You cannot call on Him if you do not believe on Him and His words. If you believe in Jesus, call on Him now.  What stops you from opening your mouth and calling on the Lord? Your eternal security is at stake. He promised to save you and give you eternal life if you believe. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus, call now, He will hear you and save you.

1 John 5:11-13, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began..."

The Bible said that you can know if you have eternal life. God promised it before the world began. Believe on Him. Believe on the good news, the gospel, the power of God to those who believe.

The gospel is good news because it tells you of a holy God who shows mercy and grace to sinners like you and me. He made salvation easy and simple for the humble.  He did the impossible so we don’t have to do anything hard and impossible things to be saved: He gave us His own Son to die in our place. You just have to believe and put your faith in His Son. You just have to acknowledge the truth and change the things you've been trusting to save you, and just receive God’s provision for your salvation. You have to put your faith and your trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and get rid of your idols, false gods, dead works and religion that make you religious but no eternal salvation.  "Believe on the Lord Jesus and thou shalt be saved..." (Acts 16:31). That is why the gospel is good news because it's as easy as believing. Put your Faith in Jesus Christ.
